Concrete Concepts & Design is a decorative concrete and masonry business based in Ashby, MA, owner-operated by Tim Beausoleil. Google shows a 4.5-star average from 43 ratings, Better Business Bureau lists an A+ letter grade, and the business's Houzz profile (which has no reviews of its own) claims a Drainage Management certification and a five-year-consecutive Customer Service & Satisfaction award. HomeAdvisor's own aggregate sits lower, at 4.0 stars from 11 ratings. The written record spans 2016 through 2026 - 37 reviews across nine sources - and most of it is detailed and positive. Customers consistently praise Tim's stamped concrete patios and pool decks, often finished with natural stone or cobblestone detailing, along with driveways, walkways, retaining walls, and a custom brick fire pit. Several describe Tim personally guiding the process: pulling permit statutes for a shed foundation, explaining why a pool deck needed to wait for the ground to settle, and offering phone advice that lowered a project's cost. In a 2018 review, a homeowner described Tim and his crew working late into the night to complete a 70-foot stamped patio; in a 2016 review, a diner owner described the crew finishing an epoxy floor replacement quickly to minimize lost business. Three reviews in the last six months, none negative, suggest the pattern has held recently. Worth asking about before booking: five separate reviews across Google and HomeAdvisor, dated 2016 to 2025, describe stamped-concrete or pool-deck defects - cracking, spalling, an unfinished sump-pump cap - with promised fixes that were delayed for years or, in some accounts, never completed. In two of those cases the reviewers say direct contact with Tim stopped once the dispute dragged on. A 2016 HomeAdvisor review also describes an extended, adversarial dispute over billing and soil-removal charges, with the business publicly rebutting the customer's account point by point. These accounts sit alongside a much larger body of specific, positive detail about the same kind of work, so the pattern is worth raising directly - ask what happens if a defect surfaces after the final payment, and get any warranty terms in writing. Concrete Concepts & Design looks like a strong fit for a homeowner planning a stamped patio, pool deck, or retaining wall who wants an owner who stays hands-on through design and permitting; confirm licensing, insurance, and how post-completion issues are handled before signing.
“**Tim Beausoleil**: Tim Beausoleil has held roles including Self Employed at Concrete Concepts & Designs. Based in Ashburnham, Massachusetts, United States [US]. ... I’ve been working for Many many years in the concrete industry, and it’s very difficult and demanding. Couple that with living in Massachusetts, (New England ) is the most difficult environment in the country to pour concrete. We have 4 seasons drastically different from one another, so the ground movement, the freeze/thaw cycles, it’s as hard as it gets to make sure a project will not only look fantastic but will last. ... Tim did a great job on my monolithic slab for a two car garage. He is flexible and helped me out with some other stuff as well, including a drainage system. Great finish and solid floor. I am very happy with it. Tim is a great guy and I would recommend him to anyone. His first priority is quality and workmanship. And thank you for your service!
Concrete Concepts & Design did a great job doing the excavation and pouring a floor for us. The entire crew contended with extreme temperatures to get the job done. They thoroughly cleaned the entire work site and worked well as a team. Thank you all for your hard work!
Great to work with! Professional and precise! I have used CCD for two jobs at my home and am extremely satisfied with both!!
We had interviewed , about 8 companies, some were personable, others were not, some were informative, others tried to sound like they belonged in this industry. Tim came with one of his employees, it was at the end of the day , they poured earlier, and Tim looked like he rolled around on the color;) He was really funny, and kind, and patient, even after a clearly long day, he did not rush us, he answered questions, that others couldn't. This told my husband and I that if he was willing to walk us through the process after a long day, and answer questions, we were probably going to hire him. A pool deck/ and a patio on the side of our sunroom, Tim asked who the pool company was, he said , "wait 6 months".. He is incredible and thankfully we listened. The jobs are perfect!! Tim has a respectable crew, and they all work so hard! We Highly Recommend
We hired Concrete Concepts and Design to provide a quote for a walkway that leads to a patio. We were on the fence about what we should use, concrete or pavers. Tim really helped with making an educated decision, and it also was the least expensive of the 2. A construction company with integrity? Yes, that is exactly how this business operates. One point I couldn't believe was how detailed and informative the estimate was! It had several lines with the costs associated with each, this was one of the factors that helped us make our decision. Not to mention, what Tim has done for the veteran community is nothing short of beautiful! We love our new outdoor oasis, these guys are respectful, fun and so talented.....Especially their boss, Tim is rare, and my husband and I are truly thankful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Thanks Concrete Concepts!!!
