ConnReno is the company people in Wallingford, CT write about after a house fire. A September 2024 Google reviewer put it plainly: "Fire Restoration is not the same at Home Improvement," and another that month said the company won't do regular construction, "only fire reconstruction." Its BBB listing names fire restoration and reconstruction as its service, and its site offers 24/7 emergency service. The Google reviews from 2022 to 2025 describe the whole arc of a fire loss. In a September 2024 review, a homeowner described meeting the team the night of the fire and needing someone to board up the home; another that month called the rebuild "a 8 month long process," and a third said the family moved back in after four months, with "No out of pocket." A December 2024 reviewer said items on a wish list they were told not to expect were "done without an extra charge." A November 2025 review says the crew "documented everything for insurance." Brian is named in reviews from 2018 to 2024; a March 2022 review calls him "owner Brian Angelico," and a November 2024 review says Brian got the job done "timely & within budget." The older reviews, from 2018 and 2019 on Angi, are about ordinary remodeling: a new bathroom with tile work, a shower enclosure and tub, and a January 2019 project that finished a basement, refinished hardwood floors and replaced kitchen tile. That 2019 customer called the price "somewhat higher than average but it was still good value for money." One review cuts the other way. In a September 2022 1-star Google review, a homeowner whose house was damaged by a neighbor's fire said a ConnReno representative approached them that morning and they signed an agreement, then about a month later Brian wrote that he did not have the time and backed out of the project. The same reviewer warned against a company "that shows up to a house fire before the fire department has even arrived." Google shows 4.8 stars from 28 ratings, and HomeAdvisor and Angi each show 4.9 from 15. The company's Connecticut home improvement registration, HIC.0650050, is active. Its BBB grade is A+.
