Cook's Roofing

Leaks around chimneys come up more than once at Cook's Roofing, a Bellingham roofer whose site says it has provided roofing workmanship and customer service for over 35 years. Two 2023 reviews describe a chimney leak fixed: one customer's leak had been getting worse and worse, and Cook's fixed it, found another issue and charged much less than expected; another says several other roofers could not fix a persistent leak around a chimney, Cook's sealed it and came back twice to check. Other reviews describe roof replacements and repairs. In a 2023 review, a customer describes Cook's removing a double layer of shingles, adding soffit vents and baffles and replacing gutters, with the roofing done in one day; when the gutters leaked at a couple of the 90 degree angles, the crew came back and re-sealed them. A February 2023 customer whose roof Cook's replaced in 2010 says a ridge vent leak in a 2022 storm was fixed under warranty at no cost. A 2014 HomeAdvisor reviewer chose Ken because he was the only roofer who wanted to address attic ventilation. The newest review, from May 2026, says Eric was helpful with a roof inspection. There are complaints. In a 2024 Google review rated 2 stars, a customer says the roof kept leaking, the worker had to come multiple times, and the company stopped returning calls after payment. A May 2025 reviewer pleased with a new roof says Cook's installed regular-size gutters with gutter guards instead of the larger ones requested. A 2022 reviewer reports two window screens damaged and shingle marks on the siding, rectified immediately. A 2017 Angi reviewer found the price a little high and says the crew had to come back twice to finish. Google shows 4.9★ from 81 ratings, Angi 4.9★ from 34 and HomeAdvisor 4.7★ from 44, and the Better Business Bureau grades it A+. The company's site lists Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractors Reg. # 116815. The site also lists Massachusetts Construction Supervisors License # CS SL 99140.
