Core Electrical Services, LLC — "CORE" — is a Mendon, Massachusetts electrical contractor at 149 Uxbridge Rd, run by managing partners Michael Gallerane and Michaela Tetreault. The name is new; the business is not. Its own history page says the firm was established as an LLC in 2015 under the name D'Alio Electric LLC, that Mike and Michaela (long-time employees) bought it in 2021, and that the rebrand to Core Electrical Services was made official in late 2023. That matters when you read reviews about it: the older ones name D'Alio and the newer ones name Core, and they are the same company. A 2022 reviewer describes an upgrade from 100 to 200 amps plus an EV charger in the garage, praising careful work and noting that when a newly installed circuit breaker turned out to be faulty the crew came back immediately to replace it. A 2024 reviewer describes the same 100-to-200-amp upgrade plus two added AC circuits, calling the pricing reasonable. On Reddit, a Worcester-area homeowner with a 100-year-old house full of knob-and-tube and previous DIY wiring says they went with D'Alio and it did great work. One credential is confirmed rather than claimed: the Massachusetts registry shows electrician licence 100071 active, held of record by Michael Gallerane — the managing partner, not the LLC, which is the normal shape for an electrical contractor where an individual holds the master licence. Beyond that the company publishes its own list of numbers across six states (MA 559-EL-A1, 100071MR, SS-003263 and HIC-208296, plus RI, CT, NH, ME and VT), none of which have been checked here, and the BBB separately reports three Division of Professional Licensure numbers. It is BBB Accredited with an A+ grade. The volume is thin: five reviews on file spanning 2021 to 2026, a 4.7-star Google average across 21 ratings, and no complaint on any source read. Beyond electrical work the firm advertises hardwired fire alarm, burglary and security-camera installation and standby generators, and it operates a partner general-contracting company, Core Industries LLC. Two cautions when you research it yourself. BuildZoom's page for this contractor states "License Not Required — BuildZoom verified in November, 2024 that this contractor does not need a license to be a electrician in Massachusetts." That is wrong: Massachusetts licenses electricians through the Division of Professional Licensure, and this business publishes its own licence numbers. And the tenure figures do not agree — BBB records "Business Started 2/1/2009" and "Years in Business: 17" while the company's own site says it was established as an LLC in 2015. Ask which date refers to the predecessor trading history.
“We went with D'Alio Electric, who did great work. We have a 100 year old house which also had knob and tube when we moved in, and a previous owner who did DIY electrical work, so they had a lot to work on when we brought them in”

Core Electrical team was great! They were very responsive, always on time and did fantastic work at our house! Will definitely use them again ;)
Great day
Core Electrical Services did excellent work upgrading our service from 100 to 200amps and adding two AC circuits. We had a great experience from start to finish. Everyone was kind, professional, and pricing was reasonable. If we need any additional work in the future we would use them again and have already recommended them to friends nearby!
We used D'Alio Electric to upgrade our service from 100 to 200 amps and to install an electric vehicle charger in the garage. We were very pleased - they did excellent, very careful work, answered all of our questions, and were very courteous and pleasant. When one of the new circuit breakers they installed turned out to be faulty, they came out immediately to replace it. We would recommend them highly for any electrical work.
