Verified record
John Manning Electrician Services works out of Uxbridge, and the detail that stands out across its reviews is speed: several customers describe him showing up fast, including one who called him out in the middle of winter for an emergency and had the problem fixed with, in that customer's words, little to no down time. The company says it has 9 years of experience, and Manning's Massachusetts electrician license (#52277) is verified active in the state's own registry. The written record here runs 2023 to 2025, with 38 ratings on both HomeAdvisor and Angi averaging 4.9 stars, plus a smaller handful of 5-star reviews on Google. In a detailed 2023 review, one homeowner wrote that Manning came on time, was professional, and that his charges were fair and more than competitive — a rare specific mention of price in a field where most reviews just say a job went well. Other reviews from that same stretch, most just a line or two, keep repeating the same words: friendly, knowledgeable, responsible, quick. One thing worth knowing: the Better Business Bureau's profile for the business lists 7 years in business, a year or two off from the 9 years HomeAdvisor and Angi list — a small discrepancy worth a quick question if exact tenure matters to you. Manning isn't BBB accredited, which the Bureau's own profile notes plainly; that's common for a small, one-person shop and isn't a mark against him here, especially with a state-verified license backing the trade work. For everyday electrical work — panel and fixture repairs, additions and remodels, recessed lighting, switch and receptacle jobs — the volume and consistency of this record, plus the verified license, make Manning a reasonable call. If timing matters, his own reviewers suggest he's often busy but responsive, so it's worth confirming his current schedule and getting a firm price before booking.

Very friendly, very clear about the work that needed to be done, and quick!
I was lucky to find John to do electrical work in my Uxbridge home. He came on time and was very professional compared to others...He was courteous and his charges were fair and more than competitive. He did a great job. I recommend him to anyone...of course he is very busy, but he will get back to you as soon as he can...as he did for me... You won't be disappointed. I was very pleased with his obvious wish to do his absolute best to solve your problems. Also, he is a local Uxbridge guy and is an asset to the Town for his community service.
