John Manning Electrician Services

Middle of winter, something goes wrong with the power, and you assume you are in trouble — an April 2023 reviewer described exactly that call, and wrote that John Manning came quickly and had the problem resolved with little to no down time. John Manning Electrician Services is a one-man shop: the Better Business Bureau lists it as a sole proprietorship owned by John Manning, working out of 292 Douglas St in Uxbridge. His Massachusetts electrician licence, #52277, is active on the state registry in his own name. On Angi he holds 4.9 stars over 38 ratings, 97 percent of them five stars, and HomeAdvisor carries the same figures. A 2023 customer who hired him for electrical work at their Uxbridge home wrote that he came on time, was courteous and professional, and that his charges were fair and more than competitive. Another reviewer that year said he laid out many options so they stayed on the same page. In March 2025, a customer called him friendly, clear about the work that needed to be done, and quick. One thing to plan around: the 2023 customer who said he would recommend him to anyone also noted that he is very busy. With a sole proprietor that is the scheduling question — ask when he could actually start, and what an emergency call means in practice, since his Angi and HomeAdvisor profiles say he takes them and gives free estimates. For panel and fixture work, recessed lighting, switches and receptacles, or the wiring that comes with an addition or remodel, he is a licensed electrician working close to home. Pin down his availability against your timeline, and get the estimate in writing before he starts.
