Cory Oak Electric

Cory Oak Electric's work shows up in permit records rather than in reviews. BuildZoom lists 26 permitted projects for the Marblehead electrician, 11 of them in the last three years — almost all residential, mostly in Marblehead itself with jobs in Danvers, Beverly, Groveland and Burlington, valued between roughly $500 and $2,300. That is the size of work this is: a panel, a run of outlets, a fixture, a circuit. Angi lists the business as Cory J. Oak Electric LLC on Naugus Avenue — a one-man electrical contractor that describes itself as veteran owned and operated with 19 years of experience, doing wiring and panel upgrades along with switch, outlet and fixture installation and repair. Both Angi and HomeAdvisor mark the profile as new, and neither carries a rating or a single review. Two things to sort out before booking. The licence block on BuildZoom says this business holds "License Not Required" and that BuildZoom verified in September 2023 that an electrician does not need a licence in Massachusetts — the state does license electricians, and the same page carries a "Verified License" badge that contradicts its own text. Ask for the licence number and check it against the state registry yourself. Separately, Angi's FAQ says the business does not offer free estimates, emergency service or warranties. For a small job around Marblehead — a panel upgrade, new outlets, a fixture swap — this is a solo electrician whose past work can be looked up address by address in the permit record. Get the licence number first, and agree what a visit and an estimate cost before he drives out.
