Cota & Cota

Service was quick, I knew what the fix was but I don't have the technology to do myself. Time at my house was less than 20 minutes and I live in Lebanon. Service charge because it was a Saturday I got the person on call that day. He was coming from Bellows Falls I had to pay for all the travel time. Paid $404 for labor. Not happy, this is the first time I felt I was taken advantage of with Cota and Cota and have been using them for 20 years. One star for this service call. I am looking to get on service plan to avoid this issue for the future.

I have been a loyal customer for over 30 years. I have always found Cota and Cota to be wonderful. 5 out of 5 stars and then some. The staff at the White River Location are wonderful!

I bought a house in January and the previous owner used Cota and Cota so when something came up with the furnace during the home inspection we requested that they have the furnace serviced and inspected to make sure all was good. They came on January 8,2026 and said that all was fine. We trusted their work and bought the house January 23,2026. Less than 1 month later our furnace stopped working and we had to have another company come to make repairs. There were screws missing on the blower, the jet that oil comes out of was dirty, there is a cone inside that is cracked, the filter was wrong, and the belt was cracked almost all the way through. We had to pay an additional 200+ dollars for them to get it going again. I called Cota and Cota and was questioned if we saw them remove the belt, or if they brought a broken belt in from their truck. if we actually saw them take the parts off our furnace or if they lied to us. Then I heard “what do you think I can do about this?” I was made to feel as if I were in the wrong and was wasting this managers time. My words were falling on deaf ears and was flat out made to feel like this could not have happened because the tech had never had a complaint against him. No one has ever called me back to update me on the resolution of this issue that they did not fix and I have had to pay for. The issues are all things that Liam should have seen when “inspecting” the furnace.
