Covenant Kitchens & Baths is a Westbrook design-and-remodel firm on the Boston Post Road that people hire for whole kitchens and bathrooms, with the design work done in-house. The company says it has been in business 45 years, and Gerard is listed on Houzz as a Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer. It holds a Connecticut home improvement registration, HIC.0554395, in the name Covenant Kitchens & Baths Inc, and the state lists that registration as active. Several customers describe the design process in detail. In a February 2026 Google review, a family renovating the kitchen, mudroom and laundry of a 100-plus-year-old home spent about three months on design with Gerard, Pam and Emily, who flipped the layout to a U-shaped counter. The walls opened onto rotted posts, a caving fieldstone foundation and roof framing issues; the team had estimated 12 to 14 weeks, and the family was using the kitchen again at the 14-week mark. In a February 2026 review, a homeowner described custom cabinetry built by a Pennsylvania shop, installed by Covenant's own carpenters, with a schedule "followed to a T". Several reviews also praise communication. A homeowner in an August 2026 review had two bathrooms redone while away from the house and got daily progress updates through a Google calendar and texts from Pete, the field coordinator. A March 2026 reviewer had an old dining-room hutch replaced with a built-in cabinet Gerard helped design. The written history runs back to 2019 on Houzz, where one couple wrote that they came back for a kitchen after Covenant combined two bedrooms into a master suite. Google shows 4.6 stars from 33 ratings and Houzz 4.9 from 47. Two customers were unhappy. In a December 2025 Google review, a homeowner praised the design and the subcontractors' work but described weak project management: outdoor venting left for the last week of a winter job, a new dishwasher that would not turn on, and a custom under-sink trash pull-out that the faucet knocks off track. In a March 2023 review, a customer wrote that an appointment made two months earlier was rescheduled with 15 minutes' notice.
“Covenant Kitchens & Baths of Westbrook wins design award”
“The historic roots of this 1909 stone home were evident in the details throughout the house, and Gerard Ciccarello, CMKBD took this cue to create a kitchen with classic style and modern functionality.”
“This kitchen is part of the newly constructed Hope Church in East Hampton, CT, and professionals and non-professionals alike donated time and materials to make this space unique.”
We hired CK&B to renovate 2 bathrooms and, as first time customers, couldn't be more pleased. At the initial meeting with Gerard, Pam and Emily, they listened to our needs and wants for each bathroom and made recommendations and suggestions while considering the budget for the project. Once a plan was in place and the renovation began, we were kept informed on a daily basis of the progress via Google calendar and a text from Pete, the Field Coordinator. This was extremely helpful since we were not living in the house at the time. Keoni, the Office Manager, was always available to answer our many questions. The end result were 2 beautiful bathrooms that far exceeded our expectations. The staff at CK&B and their contracted workers are pleasant to deal with as well as competent and professional. In addition, they want you to love your new space, and we do. We will be using their services again for a kitchen refresh. We highly recommend CK&B. Thanks to all for your hard work and dedication.
I wanted to give a five star plus review to the crew at Covenant Kitchens and Baths in Westbrook CT! I wanted an old hutch gone and a functional cabinet built into My dining room and Gerard and his crew came in and Gerard was able to help Me put what was in my head onto paper and build a gorgeous piece! I highly recommend them and we are very happy with our beautiful dining room cabinetry! 😀
It is our great pleasure to give the highest recommendation to Covenant Kitchen & Bath. We interviewed three establishments over a two year period for a full renovation of our kitchen. We knew immediately that Covenant would be the right fit. Their attention to detail in both design and execution was beyond our expectations. The whole team dedicated themselves to making our kitchen just perfect for us. They were thoughtful, kind and conscientious of our time and space during the renovation. Both the schedule and the budget remained on point throughout the process. In addition, the job site was extremely organized and meticulously clean from beginning to end. The staff was deeply invested in creating our kitchen, and their knowledge, care, consideration, work ethic, and craftmanship were absolutely exceptional. We could never have imagined that we could have such an amazing renovation experience. We are planning another renovation within the year with Covenant. We feel extremely fortunate to have found them...and our kitchen is amazing!!!!
It is my pleasure to heartily endorse Covenant Kitchens for a kitchen design and remodeling project. From the start it was clear that Gerard and his team were committed to attention to detail and customer satisfaction. The process started with several meetings in which Gerard absorbed our wants and needs and took great pains in executing a plan which addressed nearly all of them. Gerard excels at foreseeing potential pitfalls and thereby was able to avoid many costly on site decisions necessitating in change work orders of which there were virtually none. Once the project details were determined, A schedule was set out. We had chosen custom cabinetry which was fabricated by a small shop in Pennsylvania which Gerard had strong ties to. The Cabinets were fabricated and delivered and delivered to the site on time and in flawless condition. The installation was carried out by Covenant's own team of expert carpenters who executed the installation with an equal eye to detail throughout. Plumbing, electrical, tile and other specialty work was carried out by a carefully vetted team of subcontractors with whom Gerard has a longterm trusted relationship with. Pete was the onsite construction manager and led to excellent communication not only with Gerard but with and between the contractors and subcontractors. The schedule was followed to a T. There were absolutely no surprises. We have been living with this new Kitchen now for about 3 months and thanks to the careful planning and execution, there is nothing we would do differently.
Absolutely thrilled with our kitchen experience with the entire Covenant team (Gerard, Emily, Pam, Keoni and others!). From start to finish, they were meticulous with every detail and made sure the work was done right, not just fast. They were incredibly responsive and always easy to reach, whether we had a quick question or needed to talk through a bigger decision. We never once felt like we were bothering them and they always took time to meet and discuss our project. The end result is a kitchen we truly love, and we’d recommend them without hesitation.
