A peeling tiled shower can involve far more preparation than the final glossy finish suggests. In an October 2026 review, CGS Refinishing customer Brady and Patty Walsh said Carlos spent a day and a half preparing their shower before reglazing it. They described damaged grout areas and a messy floor, then a shower that looked virtually new when he finished. They also said refinishing cost significantly less than the retiling quotes they had received. CGS focuses on refinishing and reglazing existing tubs, showers and surrounds. A July 2026 customer described a tub-and-surround transformation, while a May customer praised a glossy bathtub finish and the care Carlos took with the work. Google lists the business at 4.9 stars from 119 ratings. Older accounts give more specific examples of the surfaces customers have had refinished. In February 2026, a homeowner described changing a worn, dark-green tub and shower enclosure to white; they also praised protection of the bathroom and cleanup afterward. An October 2025 customer had an old cast-iron tub reglazed, and a June 2025 customer described refinishing a bathtub original to a 1958 house. In April 2025, a returning customer said an earlier refinished tub still looked factory fresh and described having Carlos do a shower in another bathroom. Communication and estimates recur in these accounts. An April 2026 customer described an estimate from photographs, an explanation of the process and communication throughout the job. In August 2025, another said Carlos recommended a less expensive fix after examining the tub in person. The company's website offers free estimates and says it is insured. In a November 2023 review, a homeowner described a rust-hole repair previously done by someone other than Carlos or CGS as visibly poor. A couple of years after that earlier work, the homeowner contacted Carlos. They said his repair blended smoothly into the tub and that he left it cleaner than he found it.
