Crown Contracting is a Dedham roofing crew that says it has been part of Boston's skyline for more than 40 years, rebranding under its current name in March 2019 under Kate Russo, listed as owner, president and founder, alongside Michael and Joseph Russo. The company's own site frames it as a woman-owned business and lists a run of trade and manufacturer certifications, including a Versico Gold Medal Contractor designation, membership in the Northeast Roofing Contractors Association, and recognition from National Women in Roofing. The handful of Google reviews on file all point the same direction: roof jobs finished fast and communicated well. In a February 2024 review, a homeowner described a full roof replacement finished in a single day, with the crew cleaning up afterward. Another 2024 reviewer, comparing notes with others who'd waited weeks elsewhere, said the roof replacement wrapped in a few days while the company stayed timely with communication and fair with pricing. A March 2024 review from a repeat customer who had used the company extensively called it their strongest recommendation. A February 2024 review describes something smaller but telling: a crew inspecting a chimney leak fixed it with a few dabs of caulking at no charge, then followed up by phone two weeks later — the reviewer noted the fix had held for two years since. A 2025 review from a condo owner describes a more involved job: removing and numbering deck flooring to replace rubber roofing underneath, then resetting the deck. Crown's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#202548) is active, and BuildZoom's own listing for the same number agrees. Worth asking about before booking: BuildZoom's building-permit and licensing records for this specific LLC only run back about two years, with the license itself issued in January 2026 — a shorter paper trail than the company's own 40-year history claim, so it's worth asking directly how that history connects to the entity doing the contracting. Crown reads like the call for a roof job you want handled fast and cleanly — replacement, repair, or a smaller leak fix — with masonry and brick repair as a sideline. The reviews are thin in number but consistent in what they describe; confirm the license and ask about the company's history before signing a larger contract.

I have used this company, extensively and multiple times and I give them my strongest recommendation
I highly recommend Crown Contracting for any roofing needs. They did an amazing job replacing my old roof with a new and durable one. They were very professional, communicative, and courteous throughout the whole process. Their roofing team finished everything in one day! They also cleaned up everything after the job was done. I am very satisfied with their service and the quality of their work. Crown Contracting is the best roofing contractor in the area.
Crown contracting was attentive to all of my needs. As a new time home owner, their team came in and assessed my needs with honest and fair pricing. Some of their workers, while doing an inspection of the work I was asking to be done (my room had a leak by the chimney), went up there and fixed it at no cost. After a quick inspection they knew a few globs of caulking would likely do the trick. Two weeks later I received a follow up call from a gentleman named Mike asking how everything looked and if additional assistance was needed. Two years later and still no water!
Working with Crown Contracting to replace our roof was the easiest process ever. They were timely with all communication, fair with pricing, and expedient in their work. Having heard from others it would take days if not weeks to complete our project we were discouraged however, Crown Contracting was able to complete the job in a few days and i couldnt ask for more. Highly Recommend
