Concrete patios have brought Crystal Brook both repeat praise and complaints about the finished surface. The Wilbraham company says it has served the town and surrounding communities for more than 20 years, offering residential and commercial concrete work, landscape design and hardscaping. Its website also names decorative stamped concrete, stonework and waterfalls, and advertises free estimates. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active under Crystal Brook Landscape Construction. Customers have described projects combining several outdoor features. In a December 2022 HomeAdvisor review, a homeowner said Crystal Brook installed a concrete patio, drainage around it, a retaining wall and two granite steps; they praised the office, crew and managers for responsiveness and thoroughness. A July 2018 Google reviewer said Justin and his team finished a patio ahead of schedule, completed it within a week and cleaned up afterward. That customer also credited Tonya in the office with quick replies. In June 2019, another homeowner described realistic scheduling expectations and a crew that arrived roughly two to three weeks after booking, earlier than the six weeks initially discussed. The more recent accounts also differ. A June 2025 Google reviewer praised the workers' communication and cleanup, and said Caitie in the office helped with questions. An August 2024 HomeAdvisor customer praised collaboration on ideas, fast work and the finished result. But an August 2024 Google reviewer described footprints and roller marks across a pool patio, patchy sealant and communication that deteriorated after they raised concerns. They said the company returned to see the problems but did little to address them. In April 2023, a Google reviewer said a $7,000 patio had looked poor since installation three years earlier and that return visits to apply sealer had not fixed it. A March 2025 reviewer, whose neighbor's pool project involved Crystal Brook removing concrete, said equipment crossed their yard without permission and left deep lawn treads. They reported a promise to repair and reseed the damage, followed by more than a year without contact.
We had a wonderful experience! The workers were so kind, cleaned up after themselves, very communicative! We are thrilled with how it came out! Caitie in the office was super helpful when we had questions.
My neighbor had some work done on their pool requiring their old pool deck to be ripped out and a new deck poured in. Drewnowski Pools are the ones that contracted Crystal Brook Concrete Concepts to remove the cement. Without my permission, they drove their equipment over my yard , right next to my driveway. They made huge treads into my lawn. I called Drewnowski who was very apologetic and said that never should have happened. They put me in touch with Crystal Brook Concrete Concepts who eventually said they would not go over my property with their equipment and they would send someone out early spring to fill in the mess they caused and plant seeds. They would call me ahead of time. That was over a year ago and I have not heard from them.
They are really willing and want to work with you! Listen to your ideas but also will bounce some ideas of their own off you, to see if it may be something worth looking into. Timing wise, they work fast. Which is great, but even better, the finish product looks amazing! Doesn't looked rushed at all. Very satisfied and definitely would recommend them.
Extremely disappointing experience I am very unhappy with the pool patio installation from Crystal Brook Concrete Concepts. The customer service was decent to start the project but fell apart quickly once flaws and issues were pointed out. The communication was almost nonexistent at that point, and any questions or concerns were met with unprofessionalism. They even pointed blame back at us, the homeowners, blaming us for being responsible for the mistakes and craftsmanship flaws that were clearly made by the installation crew. The quality of the install is subpar at best. There are visible footprints and roller marks (see attached photos-note that all photo have been taken when dry) all over the patio, and the sealant is patchy and uneven, leaving the surface looking unfinished and sloppy. The company did little to nothing to address the obvious issues even when the company came back onsite to confirm the problems in person. I expected a lot more for the amount I paid. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for quality work and reliable service.
