Current Energy is a Bernardston electrical and solar company. Its own site says its electricians and solar installers design and install roof- and ground-mount solar, battery backup, EV charging and smart load management, doing the panel, wiring and electrical work in-house rather than subcontracting it. A 2026 recorder.com article quoted Ryan Martin as a co-owner of Current Energy in Bernardston. A recent Google customer said the company installed a FranklinWH battery about two years earlier, and that when the battery went offline a few weeks before the review, Current Energy responded quickly to repair it. A 2024 customer said the company installed six 400-watt panels on the roof to feed the battery generators they already owned, after they had contacted at least a dozen solar installers with little interest; that customer said the technicians asked about panel layout and wiring runs before starting. A 2024 reviewer described getting information up front with no sales pressure on a roof solar system, and said they were in their second month without an electric bill. In 2023, a customer said the company reinstalled 14 solar panels on a garage roof after a storm caused a roof leak. A 2023 reviewer said the panels were leveled to fit a roof with a sag. On r/solar in 2025, a commenter said Current Energy had installed their system with SolarEdge gear and that it started as an electrical contractor before starting a solar division. Its Massachusetts electrician licence, number 8523, is active on the state registry under CURRENT ENERGY. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 207578, is active on the state registry under Current Energy LLC.

Current Energy installed our FranklinWH battery about 2 years ago and did a great job. A few weeks ago the battery went off line and couldn’t be seen by the aGate. Current Energy responded quickly to repair it.

Current installed a roof solar system on our house 2 months ago. We had a good experience all-around. Great information on the front end with no-hype or sales pressure. The good communication and follow-up continued through installation and commission of the system. We're in our second month without an electric bill and couldn't be happier with the system. I needed Professionals to install six, 400 watt Solar Panels onto the roof of my house to be used with the Goal Zero & EcoFlow Solar Battery/Generators that I already had, to supply backup power for my Home. I contacted at least a dozen Solar Installers about this work, and there was very little interest in assisting me with this. Everyone wanted to sell me about twenty Solar Panels and tie me into the Grid. Chris and Ryan from Current Energy, contacted me with questions about my Project. They provided me with a detailed Quote for the work to be done, at a reasonable price, and we scheduled the work to be done about ten days later. Their Technicians, Toby and Jake, spent time with me before starting the work, to ask my preferences for layout of the Panels and the wiring runs, and did a great, expedient, and Professional Job with this installation.
