Custom Insulation Company, Inc.

In September 2025 a homeowner described a gas fireplace another contractor had set into a living-room corner with no insulation behind it, so cold air poured in whenever the fireplace sat idle; he went out and contacted three insulation specialists. That is a recurring kind of call here — the cold spot somebody else created. Custom Insulation Company works out of 16 Jacques Street - Rear in Worcester, installing blanket, blown-in and spray foam insulation plus aluminium and copper gutters for homeowners and builders across Massachusetts and Connecticut, and it takes Mass Save work. The site says the company was founded in 1985, and that Nick Brodeur, operations manager since 2020, partnered with Dave Winslow in early 2025 to buy it from founder David Cocaine. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #117804, is active on the state registry; its Better Business Bureau file carries an A+ and accreditation dating to 1992, and also lists construction supervisor licence CS-077537. Attics, crawl spaces and walls are the everyday work. A March 2026 customer had an attic crawl space insulated and two bathrooms properly vented. In November 2025, a crew pulled the old insulation from under a kitchen and blew foam in, arriving on time and leaving the space clean. A March 2025 homeowner had mice-infested flooring insulation under a sunroom replaced with closed cell and insulated sheathing, and said the old material was taken out carefully with no debris left and photographed as it went. In a March 2023 review, Oscar and Kevin spent two days on 1,900 square feet of attic insulation and explained each step; that August, the same pair worked through tough aluminum siding and bought bee spray to kill a wasps nest they found buried in it. The same names keep turning up. Eric Fleming estimates and walks houses — a 2022 customer with a turn-of-the-century home came after an energy audit wanting more insulation and an end to ice dams in a problem area, and Eric identified a knee-wall; a December 2025 customer doing two jobs, winterizing a three-season porch and swapping attic fiberglass for spray foam, said Eric laid out several transparent price-point options. Gutters are the other half of the shop: Nick quoted two 2026 jobs, one of them repaired that same week, and a 2023 Angi customer had whole-house gutters finished in half a day. When something has gone slightly off, it has been handled — a May 2024 reviewer mentioned minor cosmetic issues that were resolved quickly. On Reddit this February, a Worcester poster said they used the company a decade ago and have been happy with the results since. For attic, wall or crawl-space insulation around Worcester — particularly with an energy audit in hand or a cold spot nobody has solved — this is a direct call.
