Green Idea Insulation is a Worcester outfit doing spray foam, fiberglass and cellulose work for homes and businesses, holding an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#217463) verified against the state registry. Reviewers most often deal directly with Rafael or with crew lead Ueliton — several say they tracked the company down after spotting its trucks working jobs around town. Its written record spans 2022 through this summer, with the same pattern repeating: an attic and addition insulated with a mix of closed- and open-cell foam kept warm all winter off overflow heat alone from the main house, according to a 2025 review; another 2025 review credited new attic insulation with a noticeable AC performance jump during a heat wave. Several reviewers describe crews arriving on time, explaining the work, and leaving basements and attics as clean as they found them. The one hiccup on file is small: in a 2025 review, insulation work briefly covered an exhaust vent by mistake, and the owner came out and fixed it the same day. Separately, a customer whose basement had been botched by a different insulator said Rafael's team came back, found the gaps the first company left, and redid the missed areas at a fair price — a job that speaks to how the company handles someone else's mistakes, not just its own work. Two details worth flagging rather than resolving: the company's site says it's been in business 15 years, while BBB and Thumbtack both trace its founding to 2017; and one reviewer names "the owner, Wellington," while BBB lists Rafael Arthur Gazel as owner and Thumbtack's background check is under Ueliton Silva — it's unclear whether that's a second owner or a name mix-up. Worth a direct question if it matters to you. For attic, basement, or whole-addition insulation in the Worcester area, this is a licensed, established crew with a long run of detailed, positive accounts.
“All local insulation contractors with good reputations.”
It was great to work with Green Idea Insulation. From start to finish, they were courteous and professional. Most importantly, they did a great job--Very efficient and thorough. A wonderful experience all around.
They were very professional, punctual, and demonstrated outstanding work ethics throughout the entire project. The work was done thoroughly and they made sure everything was clean/tidy before leaving. It's clear they take pride in what they do. I'm very satisfied and would definitely use them again.
The Green Idea team was fantastic! They were very professional and completed my basement insulation for less than I could have done it myself. Highly recommended!
I had my basement insulated by another company but they took shortcuts to get insulation passed and left some areas un insulated which kept the basement cold.. As I did not get the help from original insulator to get it fixed, I reached out to Rafael and he along with his team were like god send to hear my concerns and empathize with my insulation concerns and did a thorough inspection and insulated areas that were missed in a very professional way at a very reasonable price. They went over and above in taking care of My concerns .. highly recommend them for your insulation needs.
I requested a quote for my full attic eve insulation to be installed in my 1950s Campanelli style home. I had a fantastic experience with Green Idea Insulation from start to finish. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about doing the job right. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt confident in the process. The installation itself was smooth and efficient, and they left everything clean and tidy at the end of every work day—which I really appreciated. Since the work was completed, I’ve already noticed a big difference in comfort and energy efficiency in my home. What really stood out to me was their honesty and attention to detail. It’s not always easy to find a company you can trust, but Green Idea Insulation exceeded my expectations in every way. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to improve their home’s insulation!
