D & S Yardworks takes down trees, clears brush and stumps, and sells firewood by the cord. On the tree side, a 2025 customer said Dan and his crew cut down two trees, one overhanging the house and a dying maple that had split into three trunks, without damaging nearby landscape plants, and cleaned up all the debris. A 2025 reviewer wrote that a tree next to the driveway came down while they were out at a doctor's appointment, and on returning they couldn't find a leaf or a bit of sawdust. A 2022 customer said multiple large oak trees and stumps were removed from the front yard, then the area was leveled and topsoil and grass seed put down. A 2022 reviewer said 9+ trees were removed and that Dan's two daughters worked alongside him. A recent customer said Dave pulled two shrubs without messing up the front lawn and also removed a pile of brush from the back yard. A recent buyer called a cord of firewood one of the better quality they had seen in years. A 2025 customer said two scoops of split firewood nearly filled an 8' pickup bed for $100. A 2026 reviewer wrote that wood for a boiler arrived within 2 days. A recent customer said a cord ordered at the beginning of October was mostly short ends and rotten wood, maybe a usable half cord. A 2026 customer said a $325 cord quoted as seasoned was not seasoned and, once stacked, was not nearly a cord. A 2026 reviewer who had a $1,100 firewood voucher said the order kept getting dropped and the 90-day voucher expired. A 2025 customer who skipped the paid tumbling and cleaning said the delivery came with a large amount of debris and uneven cuts, though they got the full 2 cords and it burns well.
I ordered 2 cords of wood in August and they came within a week and dropped it off, quality was great very little junk. I then ordered an additional cord a week or so ago in the beginning of October and it was mostly ends of 3 inches and a lot of rotten wood and mulch in the dump, maybe a usable 1/2 cord if that. Had to chuck most of it in the woods it wouldn't burn in the firepit outside. So if you order from them get it early or your just getting the scrapping on the bottom of the piles. Tried to have them redeem themselves in 2026, but got very poor communication from start to finish. Gl
I bought a cord of firewood and it's one of the better/best quality I've seen in years. I'll come back next year.
Dave and his two coworkers were fantastic. Dave took care to pull the two shrubs in a way that it did not mess up my front lawn. Most companies would just drag it through the yard. Dave was very professional and knowledgeable. The whole crew was very courteous and worked very hard. They removed the shrubs and a pile of brush I had in the back yard and did a great job. They cleaned up after themselves and left the yard better than it was. I would recommend D&S to all my neighbors and friends. The communication before during and after the job was great If you need landscaping done I would highly recommend them Thanks Dan & Dave!!
I’ve purchased firewood from D&S several times. I’ve found them to be honest, prompt, and a good company to do business with.
Last fall I was impressed with this company. NOT AT ALL NOW! HERES WHY: I am a disabled veteran who had a $1,100 firewood voucher from the soldier Sailors and Marines fund and these people continuously dropped my order, I had to chase them around call them and start from square one with the whole entire situation. Once again another company whose word is barely any good.THEY LET MY 90 DAY VOUCHER EXPIRE. TERRIBLE, INCONSISTENT COMMUNICATION FROM THE OWNER DAN. LMBS
