A 2025 customer said Chris and his team used a crane to take down four tall pine trees very close to their home in Bolton, then cleaned up the yard and charged a fair price. The company lists tree removal, cabling and bracing, stump removal and grinding, land clearing and brush mowing, a tick elimination program, and trimming and pruning on its website, and says it has been in business 26 years. A recent customer said the company took down several trees in a difficult placement and later removed a 100-foot hickory, leaving the property clean. That customer said they hired the company again to clean up the lot, take down some small trees and prune overgrown shrubs. A 2018 commenter on r/connecticut said Chris, the owner, does the work, and that the company took a bunch of trees down for a lot less than other companies named in the thread. A 2025 customer said the company planted some trees for them. A 2024 customer said it took nearly two years for him to show up to finish the job, and complained of an incomplete job, a mess left behind, an electrical service line ripped out and extra charges for disposal. A 2023 customer said Chris came on time but did not do half of what he agreed to, spending 3 hours instead of the 1-2 days quoted and charging the same.

I have known the owner and family for many years. An honest and hard working family ! We recently had several trees taken down; very difficult placement too. They were amazing! Professional, high expertise and very reasonable pricing. They'll be back soon to take a 100' hickory down and cart wood away. Save yourself time and aggravation; call them and leave the others behind . HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! UPDATE: They took the 100' tall hickory in seemingly no time while other companies avoided the work. They were amazing leaving my property clean and cared for as well ! In addition I again hired them in June '26 to clean up my lot, take down some small trees and prune overgrown shrubs. Place looks really good; the quality work they gave left things better than before adding beauty and value . I cannot recommend them enough. Chris and crew thanks once again !
We’ve used Shamrock Tree Service for two major tree removal projects at our home in Bolton, and both experiences have been excellent. Our most recent project involved the removal of four extremely tall pine trees that were very close to our home. Chris and his team used a crane to safely take them down, working efficiently and with great care. They completed the job quickly, cleaned up the yard so well it looked better than before, and offered a fair price. I highly recommend Shamrock Tree Service for anyone looking for professional, reliable, and thorough tree work.

Hire this guy if you want an incomplete job, a mess left behind, your electrical service line ripped out and additional charges for disposal afterwards. In my case it took him nearly two years to show up to finish the job. In the meantime, he offered numerous excuses for the delay over and over again, but nearly two years? Then, to make matters worse, he showed up this morning without notice and offered to leave if I didn’t want him to finish so I accepted. If I could rate him a ZERO I would.
This company was on time, fast and did a great job. No complaints.
