A huge tree dropped into a small space without damaging the trees and buildings around it: that is how one recent Google customer described a job by Arbortech Tree Inc. The company says it has been in business 21 years, and its website lists Coventry, Mansfield, Manchester, Glastonbury, Tolland and other nearby Connecticut towns as its service area. On Google it holds 5 stars from 577 ratings. One recent customer wrote that Justin, the owner and arborist, came out quickly to quote removing a tree, grinding the stump and pruning four maples, and that Santos and Alex kept the grass, driveway and street clear of debris throughout the day. On a rocky hillside close to a house, a propane tank and a hot tub, every branch, limb and log of a large maple had to be lowered and carried away by hand, a recent customer wrote. A customer whose tree is dying said Justin pointed out the branches most in danger of breaking off, and the crew came out in the rain to take down the deadwood. A 2024 customer said a thunderstorm brought a large branch down onto their house; they called at 9AM, and Arbortech showed up at 2PM and removed the branch and debris by 4:30. A 2022 customer had a 40-foot willow and 60- and 80-foot sycamores removed by the company. A 2025 Reddit commenter in r/Connecticut wrote that Arbortech did the work for half of what other quotes came in at. A 2023 customer called the company very unprofessional and wrote that it did not honor the terms of their agreement.
