In December 2024 a customer whose previous builder walked away mid-project on an old deck rebuild called James at Daddios Deck and Patios. He returned the call right away, met them at the site, sent a fair estimate with detailed design plans and started as soon as he could; he and Peter corrected a lot of the earlier builder's mistakes and rebuilt the deck and staircase, working through bitter cold and windy conditions and finishing on time and on budget. The business is based on Farmington Falls Road in Farmington, Maine, and holds 4.9 stars from 16 Google ratings. In a September 2025 review, a homeowner with roof overhang structural support issues had front and back decks replaced. James planned to over engineer the back deck, where heavy snow loading occurs; when the tear-down turned up collapsing sun roof support beams, those and new rails and balusters were added with the estimate only slightly increased. That customer planned to have him back the next spring to stain the pressure treated wood. A July 2025 customer got a snow removal gate and cable railings that let them see the gardens and birds. In October 2024 James built two decks for one customer, one of them holding a new hot tub, and another October 2024 customer got an outdoor space with a Cowboy Pool. In December 2024 James screened in a back porch and built a closet/armoire in a customer's cabin, showing plans and drawings before construction and finishing both on time and on budget. In October 2024 a farmhouse owner had 200-year-old floors sanded and stained, and a February 2025 reviewer wrote that James and his crew made quick work of a flooring project.
Great at communication every step of the process and you can tell customer satisfaction is their top priority.
True professional business. Made an appointment online for an estimate. Was contacted by the owner with an optional earlier time. Provided us his business insurance right away. Legitimate business. James came out and surveyed what work we needed done and offered suggestions with pros and cons for each and let us decide. Work was extensive with roof overhang structural support issues. Front and back deck to be replaced. Heavy snow loading occurs on the back deck. He planned to over engineer the deck on both sides to protect our investment for many years to come. We added to the project estimate, rails and balusters in addition to connected sun roof center support beams discovered as collapsing on old deck tear down. Estimate only slightly increased over all of the additional work. Always updating us. Kept us well informed. Big project took time to complete. Solid good looking deck was made on. The sides of the house. We are having him back out next spring to stain and weather protect the pressure treated wood. I have some other projects for him as well. Don’t hesitate. They have a cool name. But the work is all professional quality. You won’t regret it.
From the beginning inquiry to their final work day, Daddio Deck & Patio was AWESOME. The snow removal gate I wanted came out better than imagined, the cable railings allow us to see the gardens and birds, the deck is now study and ready for another Maine winter! 🌹
James and his crew made quick work of our flooring project and we are very happy with the results!
I highly recommend Daddios Deck and Patios! I gave James a call after we discovered that another builder we had hired to rebuild an old deck left us high and dry mid-project. James immediately returned my call, met me at the site, sent me a fair estimate and detailed design plans, and started the project ASAP. He and Peter were able to correct a lot of mistakes made by our previous builder and rebuild a safe and beautiful deck and staircase for my family to use this winter. Those guys were working most days in bitter cold and windy conditions and still got the job done on time and on budget. Communication was excellent throughout the process. James is a straight shooter and a good guy, a real pro. I never write reviews but wanted to recognize Daddios Deck and Patios for going above and beyond for us! Highly recommended!!!!
