One recent account went badly. A customer who hired Edward Bishop said he changed the scope mid-project, cutting the hours and stone work while keeping the price, charged more than other masons had estimated, and put holes through the roof for staging. That customer said the chimney continues to leak and that he refuses to come fix it unless paid for his time, although he had promised to guarantee his work for 60+ years.
Dakine Masonry was exceptionally professional. Edward worked on our leaky chimney, the “flashin’ assassin” did not disappoint! Fair pricing and timely service.
I had Ed do a rock veneer to my camp chimney. He did a great job on the project.
We had high hopes when we met Edward Bishop as he was friendly, seemed very skilled and was communicative. And he promised to guarantee his work for 60+ years. However he changed the scope of the work mid project (drastically reducing the hours and stone work but kept the price), charged us way more than other masons estimated, put holes thru the roof for staging and the chimney continues to leak. And to top it off he refuses to come fix the chimney unless we pay him for his time. AKA, his work is not guaranteed. I hate leaving this bad review but in no way would I recommend Dakine Masonry to anyone.
Ed was on time, gave me an easy to understand breakdown of what needed to be done and why. Once we agreed on the quote he completed the work and cleaned up after himself really well was a full service experience. I am about to have him start his third job for Me and this has been consistent through each of the last two jobs. Definitely would recommend
