A kitchen floor, attic stairs, tile grout and storm-door repairs all appeared in one customer's March 2024 account of hiring Dave. That customer said he arrived when promised and cleaned up every day. David Messer Home Improvement is based in Pittsfield, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. The written customer accounts run from 2022 through 2024. In an April 2023 Google review, a customer living out of state described hiring David after a long-term tenant moved out. The work included new carpet, painting, plumbing-fixture updates and repairs throughout the unit. The customer said David purchased and installed the fixtures and finishes, then returned for a separate tub-surround replacement. The customer praised both the initial work and the added scope. Smaller repairs also featured in those older accounts. An April 2022 Google reviewer said a radiator burst and leaked on the day they bought their house; they praised Dave for responding quickly to the winter emergency and fixing the problem. Another customer, writing that month, described three replacement basement windows and new side steps, praising the finished work, punctuality and price. In an April 2023 BuildZoom review, a customer said Dave took over a project with several pieces, some already started, and finished at the estimated price after just over a week. The company advertises free estimates and says it is insured. BuildZoom lists construction supervisor licence CS-119521, which the company's website also names. The registry-verified active home improvement registration is 208326.

“I'm the bookkeeper for my husband's business [David Messer Home Improvement]. I do his marketing. My husband's a general contractor, even on weekends, sometimes I'm doing contracting work.”
Dave just finished installing a new kitchen floor (love it!) and new attic stairs. He also redid the grout on our tile and prepped and repainted our bathroom (it looks new). Dave always arrived when he said he would and cleaned up every day when work was done. He even did some very small jobs that we couldn’t tackle: fixing our front and back storm doors and front steps. Thank you Dave - we’ll have you back for our future projects! Highly recommend.
Dave does a great job and is super reliable from start to finish. He explains things and is prompt. Very happy with his services and would definitely recommend him to anyone!
Dave was awesome. I had a project that had multiple pieces. Some of which were already started when he took over. His estimate was fair, and he came in right on the money. He was here for just over a week and everything turned out great. I would highly recommend him for any size project.
David does great work and is very professional. I have an apartment that had a long term tenant move out. I live out of state, and needed someone that could coordinate everything. David did all of the refresh work including new carpet, painting, plumbing fixture updates, and general repairs throughout the unit. He purchased all the fixtures and finishes and installed them. He then returned to replace the old tub surround (unrelated to the original work). His initial work along with the additional scope was excellent. He also reviewed the apartment for trouble spots that may need repair or replacement in the future. I expect to use him for all future projects and would recommend him to anyone.
I wanted to thank Dave for the wonderful work that he had done for us over the last couple of weeks. He replaced three basement windows and built new side steps. Everything came out beautifully and he was punctual. I also found him to be very reasonably priced too!
