Davis Construction Co. LLC is a Peterborough, New Hampshire general contractor that, in its own words, builds custom homes, additions, remodels and energy retrofits and runs its own site-work division. In 2026 it also added a roofing division, and roofing is what almost every recent customer account is about. Those roofing accounts are recent and specific. Between May and June 2026 customers described a new roof on an 1820 colonial finished on time and at a reasonable price after three quotes were gathered, a small roof done exactly as asked, a new roof on an Amish-built gazebo, and a shake shingle roof fully installed in five days including weekend work once supplies arrived. Several name Mike Drew as the person who quoted the job, explained the options and kept them posted, and more than one says the site was left clean. The building side has a much thinner record: one December 2024 reviewer credits Brad and Renee with designing and building their home, and an August 2026 Reddit commenter in a southern New Hampshire renovation thread recommended "Davis Construction out of Peterborough" without giving details. One 2026 review runs the other way and is worth reading before you call. A customer wrote that they made an appointment, the company did not show, and that after being told someone would look into it two weeks passed with no reply — a failure to get back rather than a failure of workmanship, but a recent one. Worth asking about before booking: who your point of contact will be and what happens if a scheduled visit slips. The company's website describes its team as licensed septic installers, but it publishes no number and that claim was not checked against any registry here — treat it as the company's own statement. New Hampshire operates no statewide general-contractor or home-improvement registration, so for building and roofing work there is no state licence to look up either way. A sensible call for a Monadnock-area homeowner wanting a roof replaced or a custom build or addition from a local firm with a visible 2026 track record. The ratings base is small — six ratings in total — so ask for references on work like yours.
“Davis Construction out of Peterborough, they are awesome!”
I am sure they do good work if they actually show up. Called made an appointment, they no showed. I called they said they would look into it and get right back to me, it has been two weeks and nothing. I guess my project wasn't big enough, but it would be a common courtesy to at the very least tell me your are declining and don't just ghost me, very unprofessional.
New roof on an 1820 colonial was completed timely and at a reasonable price. I gathered three quotes and Davis was competitive AND local so the choice was easy. Mike's communications was timely and he did a good job working through a few technical challenges with a special aspect of my job. My property was left clean. I wouldn't hesitate to use Davis again on future roofing projects.
Mike Drew did a small roof for us. He communicated very well about the schedule and to be sure that he did it the way we wanted. The result was excellent.
Our Amish build gazebo was in need of a new roof. I knew I needed it done by a reputable established company. Seeing that Davis Construction had added a roofing division , I knew they would be the one to contact. So very pleased that we did. We met with Mike Drew and we were presented with a price with thorough explanations for the options. Mike was available for any questions we had and called us back!! The workers were amazing. The job site was cleaned and we would like to thank everyone for their professionalism. Would highly recommend Davis Construction.
Fast, quality job! I was impressed as to how quickly, once they received the deposit, that they ordered the supplies. Then once the supplies came in, they had the job scheduled within a couple of weeks and after 5 days, including working thru the weekend they had fully installed our new shake shingle roof! The crew did an excellent job!
