Speed is the through-line at Deck New England, and it cuts both ways. Tiago Rossatto's North Andover crew — five people, nine years at it by Thumbtack's count — rebuilds decks and porches, and takes on sheds, fences, trim, framing and the occasional custom furniture build alongside them. A homeowner writing in July 2024 had them pull out a dilapidated front porch and stairs, block up a foundation hole a groundhog had claimed, and rebuild; she reported the building inspector calling it the best craftsmanship he'd ever seen. In May 2024 another customer described the crew jacking a sinking second-floor porch, replacing all the rotten framing and three support posts, then reinstalling floors, ceilings, walls and siding. People come back. A September 2025 reviewer ran through six jobs from the same crew — deck rebuild, house trim replaced and painted, house, barn and shed stained, fences repaired, window sills replaced — and said unplanned problems were absorbed at little or no extra cost. Then the other side. In July 2025 a customer who had a wood deck converted to Trex with PVC lattice underneath wrote that the crew moved fast enough that the finishing suffered: the lattice wasn't detailed for New England expansion and contraction and it warped. Rossatto agreed to fix it, but the return took a couple of weeks and landed on a day of heavy rain, and that customer says the repair left the problem worse. His summary was blunt — fine if you want a fast turnaround, think twice if you want long-term detail work. It is the only low mark among sixteen reviews, and also the most recent detailed one, which is why it counts for more than its share. Angi and HomeAdvisor carry the same 12 reviews at 5.0 with an Approved badge; both also print a Massachusetts trade licence number, CS-123190, as the company's own filing rather than anything verified against the state. Thumbtack shows 4.7 across 10 ratings, a background check on Rossatto completed in April 2024, and 123 project photos. The directory profiles note Spanish is spoken. A sensible call for a deck or porch that needs rebuilding on a real schedule. Get the finish details into the contract — materials, expansion gaps on composite and PVC, and what happens if something needs a return visit — and check the licence number against the state registry yourself before signing.

I found this company through Thumbtack — my first time using an app for contractor recommendations. Four companies responded to my inquiry, but Rossatto of Deck New England was the only one who truly followed through. From the start, they set clear expectations. They were punctual, highly communicative, and gave an honest assessment of the work needed. What stood out most was the way Rossatto treated his crew, the property, and the jobsite. The care and respect he brings to every aspect of the work clearly carries through to the team and the craftsmanship. The results speak for themselves. Deck New England delivers outstanding quality, and I cannot recommend them enough. I will absolutely continue working with them in the future
Rossatto and his crew have done many Jobs for me. They rebuilt my deck, replaced and painted my house trim, stained my house, barn and shed. They repaired and stained my fences and replaced my window sills. All of these jobs were done on time and with professional style. Any unplanned issues that occurred were dealt with at little or no additional cost. I am having Rossatto back soon for another project. I recommend that you do the same.
We hired Rosseto and his team to complete a renovation of our deck, converting it from wood to Trex and adding PVC lattice around the bottom. Throughout the initial process, Rosseto and his crew were very polite, punctual, and completed the project relatively quickly. Their professionalism during the early stages of the job was appreciated. That said, there are important points future customers should be aware of when considering this team for similar projects. While the overall work was completed in a timely manner, the quality was average at best—and poor in certain areas, particularly when it came to the finishing work. The team appeared to be moving at a very fast pace, which unfortunately led to issues with the PVC lattice. Specifically, the crew did not account for proper expansion and contraction in varying New England temperatures, resulting in the lattice becoming warped. When I brought this concern to Rosseto's attention, he assured me it would be addressed. However, it did take a couple of weeks before any action was taken. When his team eventually returned, they were scheduled to work on a day of heavy rain. As a result, they rushed through the fix and ultimately did not resolve the issue—in fact, the attempted repair appears to have worsened the problem. To Rosseto's credit, he has been responsive and cooperative in communication, and I remain hopeful that he will recognize the poor quality of this follow-up work and take meaningful steps to correct it. Time will tell how the ongoing issue is handled from here. In conclusion, if you're looking for a fast turnaround and are willing to accept the risk of rushed workmanship and possible cut corners, this might be the right team for you. However, if you're prioritizing long-term durability, attention to detail, and high-quality craftsmanship, I would advise proceeding with caution or considering other options.
