Cane Hill Wood Works works out of Weston and has a Google page most contractors would envy: 64 ratings, and since a perfect 5.0 average is only possible if every one of them is five stars, that's what it takes to get there. The name behind nearly every review is Celio Alves, described more than once as a carpenter by trade, and the company's own description backs that up — custom woodworking, remodeling, and new construction. The six most recent reviews, all from the first half of 2026, tell a consistent story. One homeowner hired Celio to renovate a bathroom and pointed to the communication, from the first estimate through the final touches. Another had kitchen cabinet doors and drawers replaced and said the coordination with painters left the room looking modern; a separate reviewer credits him with cabinetry work that balanced looks and function down to the details. On the smaller end, one customer called about rotted exterior wood on short notice and had an estimate the same day. That pattern isn't new. Reviews stretching back to 2022 keep circling the same kind of work — cabinetry, decks, framing, and larger renovations where Celio brings in and manages other trades rather than working solo — across more than four years of write-ups on Google, a woodworking-focused site, and a couple of local directories. None of them, recent or old, describe anything but a positive experience. There isn't much to flag going into a call. No source here logged a complaint, a scheduling failure, or a pricing dispute. The one thing worth clarifying upfront is scope: some jobs are narrowly carpentry — a cut and fitted piece of butcher block, a set of cabinets — while others are full renovations where he's coordinating several trades. Worth being clear on which kind of project you're hiring for before getting a quote. Cane Hill Wood Works reads like the call for custom woodwork and carpentry-driven remodeling — cabinetry, decks, trim, and renovations where the wood detailing matters — rather than a general handyman for one-off repairs. Given how consistently the specifics line up across recent and older reviews alike, the main homework is just confirming scope and timeline for the particular project at hand.

We had the pleasure of having Cane Hill Wood Works renovate a bathroom in our home. From the very first introduction and estimate to the final touches, the project was exceptional. The foreman, Celio, listens well to what you want and then makes it happen. Communication every evening on what to expect, and what time to expect workers, was so very helpful. The plumber, electrician, tilers, carpenters, painters, all were first-rate. Clean up every night was superb. The project was within the budget and timetable. We highly recommend Celio Alves and Cane Hill Wood Words.
