The commenter also disclosed that the owner is a friend and a former colleague, which is worth weighing. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. The company describes itself as a design-build firm founded by Tim DeSalvo in 1984, working on residential and commercial additions, remodeling and kitchens, and it lists a wide catchment: Chelmsford outward through Andover, Billerica, Concord, Lexington, Cambridge and Boston, plus a string of southern New Hampshire towns. Its own site says clients deal directly with the owner. There is some corroboration beyond the company's own words. It appears on the Chrysalis Remodeling Awards of Massachusetts list under Chelmsford, and BuildZoom holds building-permit records for the Woodbine Street address covering around five projects over three years. Two things worth pinning down. The tenure figures do not line up: the site claims a 1984 founding and, in the same paragraph, more than 28 years in business, while BuildZoom says 22 — the founding date is a company claim, not a verified fact. And the only independent voice here is one Reddit comment from a self-declared friend of the owner; there is no customer review history to test the "done well without headaches" line against. A plausible fit for an addition or a whole-house remodel where you want a long-established design-build outfit and can wait for a slot. Ask for recent client references and confirm the schedule and price in writing before committing.
