Dias Hardwood Floors

I had new flooring done for my kitchen and bathroom. The old floors were removed and the new flooring was installed and the work was done beautifully.

I had Jorge scheduled over a month out. He blew me off two weeks in a row and the ghosted me. We missed our move in date because of it. A. Dion and sons out of Hadley is $2 per square foot cheaper and are actually reliable

After the floor was finished, we noticed swirl marks everywhere, from not using a finer grit sandpaper. My price somehow jumped from 2,200.00 to 3,800.00. Jorge said that the square foot price hadn't changed, but the house was bigger than expected. He never brought a tape measure to quote the job. My son measured for him, with a laser pointer. When they started, they had to borrow buckets, rags, a broom and dustpan etc.. Completely unprofessional. Now we noticed that they never taped any of the baseboards. We have tinted urethane on all of them, and they'll need to be replaced, in the entire house! I knew when he spoke, and never made eye contact, that I should have found a different company!... These people are terrible!

We had a bleach spill stain our floor, and it would have been an easy fix, but the state was paying for the damage (so the payment was delayed for weeks on end) and then our landlord had a fit (telling him how to do his job and not do his job). Long story short, George was incredibly patient and fair. He clearly knows how to do his job well, and he is very knowledgeable about wood types and products. he wouldn't let us buy him a case of beer for all the trouble our landlord and the delays put him through, but maybe this review will bring him some business! An incredibly nice guy to work with and very responsive on Yelp, by email, and text message as well. If you are looking to get your floors repaired or refinished, and are anywhere within reach in VT or MA, PLEASE do your business with George (owner). I cannot recommend him enough, seriously. You won't find better quality, service, or prices than Dias Hardwood Floors.
