The company describes itself as a family-owned home-improvement business working southwestern New Hampshire and into Massachusetts and Vermont — repairs, maintenance, fixture installation, renovations — and one name runs through fifty reviews since 2022: Loui, written Louis, Luis or Lou depending on the customer, who quotes the job and shows up to do it.
The range is wider than the small-repair label suggests. A July 2026 reviewer watched them open a soffit, find extra rot underneath, and still finish inside budget, with a call at every step. At the other end, an April 2026 Google review covers an entire basement built out — walls, insulation, flooring, doors, paint.
Most of the work sits closer to the ground. A July 2026 review has the ramp up to a deck replaced; in an April 2026 job a rotted garage side door was swapped out, the quote came in accurate, and the same homeowner brought them back for a covered entryway. Older jobs fill in the rest: a pergola on a deck and new trim and floors in an old cape guest room, both in 2024; a 2024 partial bathroom renovation with linoleum out, vinyl tile and baseboard in, a cabinet repainted and wallpaper stripped; and a custom shelving unit and laundry hamper that a 2023 reviewer said still drew compliments.
Two things to settle before booking. This is a small operation — reviewers describe Loui working with one other person on most jobs — so ask how a bigger project gets staffed and how long it will hold your calendar. And a September 2025 customer, happy with the outcome, said it took a few visits to get there; if your job has to finish in one pass, put that in the conversation at the quote.
What comes up otherwise is unglamorous and consistent: on time, clean, listens to what you actually asked for. A 2024 reviewer said inquiries came back within a day, and prices are called fair and affordable in reviews going back to 2023, one of which mentions senior discounts. For a punch list of repairs, a rotted door or a sagging deck, or one room taken back to studs and rebuilt, this is a straightforward call — settle the quote and how many visits it will take before the tools come out.
