DogWatch of Litchfield County installs underground electric dog fences and trains the dogs to them, and it holds 5 stars from 319 ratings on Google. An August 2026 reviewer, a new homeowner with 3 dogs, thanked Rob for coordinating, Doug for installation and Liz for training, and said the online estimate was spot on. The company lists towns across Litchfield County from Barkhamsted and Canaan to New Milford and Norfolk. The speed is specific. In a June 2026 review, a customer who called the Friday before Labor Day heard from Sue and met her the next day, got an estimate on Sunday, signed the contracts, and had the fence installed Tuesday, with Liz's first lesson that afternoon. An April 2026 customer who had spent over 10 hours trying to fix a Petsafe fence had Douglas out in 2 days; he found a tricky line break and replaced the bad section in an hour. In April 2026, a customer switched from another brand because their dog was losing his hearing and the DogWatch collar vibrates. A May 2026 customer whose excavation cut the wires had the yard rewired to its new size. The training draws its own praise. A May 2026 customer said Liz was patient with an eight-year-old Black Lab mix and an eight-month-old Golden Retriever. A January 2026 reviewer said their Malinois pup picked up the system by the second training visit, and noted that the batteries are shipped automatically.

We have had our fence installed since early Spring 2026. First, it has been a blessing. I call it our freedom fence. It frees the dogs to enjoy the outside (which they love) and frees me not getting tangled in their leashes as well las walking them in the rain. I am so glad I went with DogWatch of Litchfield County. They were there every step of the way and even recently. They always answer the phone quickly or call back soon after mine. If you are skeptical, don't be with this company. I take giving great reviews seriously (or even negative ones); however this company/staff receives exceptional.
Highly recommend dog watch of Litchfield county and their team. My wife and I just purchased a new home with a lot more property than we’re used to.. with 3 dogs that their noses can definitely get the best of them. I found dog watch online, read the reviews, and didn’t even get a 2nd opinion. Let me say, EVERYTHING about this was beyond easy. From the online estimate (spot on accurate), to setting up the appointment, to the work being performed, and the training with my dogs. Professional company, professional service, and 100% fair prices (I actually envisioned it being more). Thank you specifically to Rob for coordinating, Doug for installation, and Liz for training. You guys were all phenomenal and I would recommend you to anyone I know.
Service executed as promised. Prompt. Trainer followed up immediately and was attentive. Also helped us find a better harness for our puppy for easier walking!
They are absolutely fantastic! We have used them for over twenty years, including recently with our new pup. They are always friendly, reliable and respond almost instantly to questions and requests. Can’t recommend them eneogh.
Rob is the true definition of a good business owner. He shows up when he says, communicates, and is attentive to any issues that may arise or the multitude of questions I ask to keep my puppy safe!
