Dolphin Insulation, Inc. is an insulation company in Littleton, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active on the state registry. Its website says its primary focus is helping homeowners create energy-efficient and more comfortable environments. In a recent review, a customer who hired the company to insulate a third-floor walkup attic into a conditioned, energy-efficient space said the installation team was very professional and very clean. Another customer, who first hired Dolphin 11 years ago to insulate two attics, hired them back in June 2026 for a third section, and wrote that Amanda on the administrative staff answered many questions with care and that the on-site team led by Chris handled everything with professionalism and care. A third customer said the crew was super friendly, tidy and respectful, and that the results of the attic insulation work were immediately obvious, with the house staying cool without A/C at 80° outside. Another, who needed a new roof and insulation, wrote that Amanda and Dolphin proposed the Intello Plus vapor barrier insulation and that the price was extremely reasonable. In a 2025 review, a customer said the foreman did not get the correct work order on the first day and installed only the perimeter seal without removing the old insulation, that the job took 3 return trips after complaints to finish to a reasonable standard, and that pieces of old insulation were left over the floor. In a 2016 review, a customer wrote that David P, the engineer, spent about 90 minutes in the attic explaining every detail of the project, with a formal proposal within 24 hours. In a 2015 review, a customer described the workers covering the work areas with cloth and covering their shoes on a below-zero day, with the lead technician explaining exactly what they were doing. In another 2015 review, a customer who did not go ahead because of the high cost wrote that Dolphin quoted $20,000 for one attic/roof, including blown-in cellulose, rigid board, re-decking and trim wood, and that paying $150 for the audit was worth it. A different 2015 customer paid a $190 fee for a Home Energy Diagnosis and wrote that what arrived was a proposal for tens of thousands of dollars of insulation work rather than a diagnosis.
“If you live in central/eastern mass dolphin insulation does that. They have YouTube videos. It’s another option, check them out.”
“The contractor servicing group offers insulation, air sealing and humidity control installations in residential homes, and recently won the Angie’s List Super Service Award for its customer service.”
I hired Dolphin Insulation Inc to insulate my 3rd floor walkup attic to a "conditioned" energy efficient space. They did an excellent job. Great installation team, very professional, very clean. I would recommend them.
This is the company to hire. We highly recommend them for product and service quality, price, adaptability, integrity, low friction, do-it-right approach and results! We hired Dolphin Insulation 11 years ago to insulate the first two attics of our multi-section home; we had such great results we hired them back in June 2026 to do a third section we've been wishing we included long ago. You could tell the difference of their work and the section that had been insulated by our builder, so we had a direct comparison of their work to others. Once again, Dolphin did an excellent job. Their administrative staff including Amanda worked on the unique aspects of our project, answering many questions with care and reassurance and the on-site team led by Chris handled everything professionalism and care. They worked around current and future plans for the space so, adapting to requests that allow for the space to be utilized a living quarters, a retreat, storage or just a well-insulated home saving money. Compared to many other companies, Dolphin truly offers unparalleled quality, customer service, friendliness, skill and flexibility. They even made things easier by offering to buy back a small portable air conditioner we’d purchased for the crew’s comfort. Overall, another fantastic experience!
Great outfit to work with all around. The crew were super friendly, tidy and respectful. I figured we would eventually see improvements with lower utility bills, but the results of their attic insulation work were immediately obvious and the house stays cool without A/C at 80° outside.
We had to get a new roof and insulation since the moisture ventilation for the old roof didn’t work well. I have never been a fan of baffle vents due to my bad experience. Amanda and Dolphin Insulation proposed the Intello Plus vapor barrier insulation. Seems like the perfect solution. Working with Dolphin was a breeze. Their crew were excellent and the price was extremely reasonable. Thank you Dolphin and Amanda. PS: I promised to post a follow up review after some months. It's been about 8 months now, the attic feels conditioned just like my home and our HVACS run very rarely! I also have a dehumidifier in my attic. It rarely runs and the humidity stay at about 50%.
The job was suppose to include removal all old insulation and closure of gaps around the entire permiter (using tightly installed particle board and foam sealing). The first day the foreman did not get the correct work order and only inistalled the permiter seal without removing all insulation (and was rude when I asked why the removal did not take place). The work was the lowest quality I have ever experienced and took 3 - yes 3 - return trips (after my complaints) to finish the job to a reasonable standard. When they did remove the old insulation, they left pices over the floor and one section in the ceiling- no execuse for this. I recommend using a diff vendor as this group was equal parts rude and incompetent.
