Dovetail Custom Kitchens

Recently had my kitchen redone. It turned out beautifully thanks to the team at Dovetail Custom Kitchen. They are awesome to work with. I worked with several team members and one was just as professional, flexible, knowledgeable as the other. They were respectful of my budget and did not try to upsell on anything. If you love to cook (like I do) and you are thinking about a kitchen update don't hesitate to chat with the team at Dovetail Custom Kitchen. I would highly recommend.

We recently completed a long-overdue kitchen update project with Dovetail Custom Kitchens and cannot speak highly enough, not only of the fabulous results, but also of the experience working with Shawn, Kim and Evelyn. They were all professional, and personable and made us feel like we were working with long-time friends. Evelyn was a true pleasure to work with and was on-site daily making sure the project ran smoothly, answering our numerous questions along the way. Kim shared her great knowledge of interior design, challenging me to think about color, texture and design combinations that I would not have thought of on my own. She was incredibly thoughtful in so my ways. Both Shawn and Kim brought great creativity to the project and made themselves available for multiple meetings to choose the new countertop, tile for backsplash, sink, faucet and lighting, offering valuable expertise in their counsel for each. If you are looking for a firm that is creative, reliable, pleasant to work with and trustworthy, you can do no better than Dovetail Custom Kitchens. I highly recommend without hesitation!!!

I am an architect and have had the pleasure of working with Heather and Shawn on several kitchens for my projects, including my personal home. Their design skills and exceptional attention to the smallest details create kitchens that are beautiful and great to cook in and live in. They are also truly thoughtful people and fun and easy to work with. They are my go-to source for kitchen expertise! The photos below are from a renovation project in Scottsdale, AZ completed in 2025.

Working with Shawn, Kim, and Rosanne at Dovetail Custom Kitchens was a great experience. They were so helpful, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and kind for my entire countertop and backsplash project. Rosanne accompanied me to choose the quartzite that would look best with my cabinets. Kim helped me choose new hardware for the cabinets and also the sink and new garbage disposal. Shawn was informed every step of the way, and he was in my kitchen for the installation! If I texted or emailed a question to any of them, they got back to me immediately! They also touched base with one another about my questions so I felt it was really a team effort. As a result of feeling well cared for, I recommend Dovetail to anyone!

We are thrilled with our new kitchen. The decision to renovate was years in the making. We interviewed several design firms and it wasn’t until we met the team at Dovetail Custom Kitchens that we were ready to pull the trigger. Heather and Shawn are professional and personable--you will call them friends. They took us through design options, met us multiple times at the stoneyard, helped us in choosing tiles, sinks, faucets, hardware to complete our vision. In the end, we have a kitchen that has exceeded expectations. If you are looking for precise measurements, creative thinking, a team you can trust and rely on, look no further.
