Where do I begin..? I had a business plan with Colton for months to put a two car garage addition onto my house with a large living area above. His crew, which were extremely hard working guys with amazing brains brought my project to a point of the framing aspects completed and were just about to start siding when they were pulled off never to return. Colton then continues to lie to me and reassure me that they would be back on multiple occasions and continued to change the date. Finally he lied and blamed the hold up on the fact that the lead Carpenter didn't like me.. the true reason is Colton himself showed up for a few days and framed multiple windows and garage doors wrong. When I said something about it to him he had his crew fix his mistakes and ran away angry. I finally sent him a message to speak man to man only to receive a letter from his lawyer telling me not to contact Colton directly anymore. I then had to hire a crew out of Boston to finish my project. Colton is a complete scam artist that has never actually built a home with his own hands in his life. And don't let his sleazy smiled project manager father fool you either. Do not give your money to this guy he still owes me $5000
We have been working with Colton at Dow Construction since last summer and are finally breaking ground on our build. Throughout the entire process he has been thorough, attentive, responsive, and very knowledgeable. He has taken the time to answer our questions and has been especially helpful with the things that are important to us. We’ve had a great experience so far and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a builder.
Colton and his crew have done several projects at my lake house, ranging from custom projects to standard storm door installation. For the custom projects, Colton was super helpful generating ideas for design. He does a great job of listening and understanding what I wanted and then talking it through to the best solution. His work is top quality, and I couldn’t have asked for better workmanship. He finished projects on time and on budget and always communicated clearly throughout on progress. Two thumbs up with no hesitation!
Did a terrible job. I hired Colton Dow and he sent over a guy who had no idea what was going on. Did a terrible job and cost me money to fix. Colton doesn't actually work he just sits a home collecting clients money and has guys come mess your house up. I'll never use him again.
Simply put, we made the right choice in working with Dow for our condo renovation. Colton and team were excellent in all aspects including project management, communication, managing budget, working through changes/issues, quality of work, and importantly, hitting our timeline so that we could spend the holidays in our new home. We worked through our renovation largely remote, and from the start it was clear that we had a trustworthy and knowledgeable partner that could achieve our vision and help us make good decisions along the way. Highly recommend.
