On Google it holds 4.8 stars from 231 ratings, and the Better Business Bureau grades it A+, accredited since 2008. In a May 2026 review, Kyle found a clog 55 feet out toward the main sewer, then a second one, after another plumber could not fix a tub backup. In another May 2026 review, a homeowner wrote that Mike and Nelson broke through a clog, jetted the pipe and camera-inspected a 4-inch iron line, and that Mike and Kyle later did the milling that saved the pipe. In a November 2025 review, Mike T cleared a 4-inch cast iron line for $900 on a job the writer had expected to cost $15,000. In a July 2026 review, a customer wrote that Nate arrived within an hour for a blocked drain on a holiday weekend and the price was very reasonable. A July 2026 review says a worker broke the snake inside a shower drain, the customer was still charged, and a second company had to retrieve it. Emmanuel showed up extremely quickly after I contacted the company on July 3rd after calling several other companies and getting no response. Kyle then showed up to help and the two of them fixed the situation efficiently while explaining what was happening and the different options.
I called for a blocked drain on a holiday weekend, Nate was here in an hour, very reliable, professional, courteous and got the job done ! Price was very reasonable, you have a new customer if future service is needed.
I had Drains by James come to my house to snake a clogged shower drain. The worker attempted to clear the clog but ended up breaking the snake inside the pipe and leaving a huge mess in my bathroom. He told me I would need to hire a plumber to come out and cut holes in order to retrieve the broken snake. I was still charged for the service, even though the issue was not fixed and they created a bigger problem for me. I ended up hiring a second company, and they were able to retrieve the broken snake and clear the pipe. Overall, this was a very unprofessional experience with Drains by James.
I can't say enough about these guys! My dad is sick and we had an emergency at his house and these guys showed up like it was their own emergency. They responded quick and showed up in no time and it didn't matter that it was after hours, Kele showed up with a smile on his face ready help with whatever we needed, he even sang a little tune while he worked ❤️ They're amazing and should be everyone's FIRST call!
