A custom garage and a two-story barn are among the buildings people have described from Dream Barns. In a January 2023 Google review, a customer thanked Shawn and his team for a custom-built garage and praised their expertise and professionalism. A December 2022 commenter on r/newhampshire recommended Dream Barns in Mason for larger buildings, saying the company had been the contractor for a property they purchased and had built a two-story, 24-by-36-foot barn there. The Mason, New Hampshire business says it has been building since 1998 and serves southern New Hampshire through northern Massachusetts. Its website describes post-and-beam, pole-style and conventional framing for barns, garages with living space, workshops, riding arenas and industrial buildings. It also describes in-house AutoCAD design and site services for excavation, foundations, concrete floors and utility trenching. BBB identifies Shawn Pieterse as the owner and gives the business an A+ grade, without accreditation. A July 2026 Google reviewer reported being called to do a job and then receiving a cancellation 27 minutes before they were supposed to arrive. An April 2026 review from a neighbor praised Shawn and the crew’s craftsmanship and considerate behavior, describing slow driving where children were playing and care about nails and debris. Google reports a 4.2-star average from five ratings. The company website and BBB give different business details. The website uses 66 Walker Brook Road and says building began in 1998; BBB lists 266 Walker Brook Road, Suite A, and a November 5, 2002 business start date. BBB also lists June 9, 2015 as the LLC incorporation date.
