Duane Rego Electric is a Bristol County, Massachusetts electrician — a 2019 HomeAdvisor review names it as a Bristol County company — run by Duane Rego himself, with reviewers over the years naming crew members Robert, Brandon, Caesar and Chris working alongside him. Its written record runs from 2019 through 2025 across Angi, HomeAdvisor and Thumbtack, and the word that keeps coming back is neat: 2020 Angi reviews describe him showing up on time, working cleanly and following through on his quotes. Two specific jobs stand out — Generac whole-house generator installs, which 2020 Angi reviewers said he explained step by step and finished down to every detail, and a December 2019 job wiring a home EV charging station, praised for reasonable pricing and communication. In 2025, Thumbtack reviews show the company also taking plumbing and heating calls — a leaking drain after a vanity install, a same-day visit where the crew diagnosed the issue on the spot, and a quote for a boiler replacement — and a 2023 HomeAdvisor review describes a technician draining and cleaning two malfunctioning minisplits after two other companies had already failed to fix the smell. Worth asking about before booking: a January 2020 Angi review, at 0.5 stars, warned "hire at your own risk," describing long stretches where the crew didn't show up mid-job and a mess left behind — an old complaint, but a specific one. A September 2025 Thumbtack reviewer also called a job pricier than expected, though they said they'd use the company again. BuildZoom's own listing shows an active Massachusetts electrician license number for the company, though that reflects the directory's record rather than an independent state check. Most of what's on file is 5-star Angi and HomeAdvisor reviews for outlet work, generator installs and routine electrical calls, plus a newer run of plumbing and heating jobs on Thumbtack — a small, hands-on operator good for everyday electrical work and generator installs. Given the one no-show complaint, it's worth pinning down a start date and a clear scope before committing to a bigger job.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Duane Rego Electric. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.

Bill was awesome. Able to solve the problem which turned out to be a pretty simple solution. Was a little pricier than anticipated but would still likely use them again.
Working with Duane Rego was perfect. We were able to be fit in on a same day call. He was able to explain what might be going on fix the issue we had an fave suggestions on what to do in the future. The experience was great and my Husband and I look forward to working with him again in the future. Definitely adding him to our team of home specialists for or home needs.
Rego was professional, fair priced and completed the job on time. Very knowledgeable and able to troubleshoot and adapt. Next time I have a plumbing job, I will contact only them, no need to go around asking for estimates anymore!
Had new vanities installed, drain leaked. Initial plumber was not able to fond the issue. So we needed a 2nd opinion to resolve the issue. Rached out to Rego and Caesar was able to find the issue, fixed it, was neat and left the bathroom clean. Thank you!!!
Chris had the unenviable task of informing me I needed a new boiler. He gave me a fair price quote and had the office call me to quickly move things along. I recommend him and this company.
