Thirty-one years in, Dube Property Maintenance is the kind of outfit whose oldest customers stayed for decades and whose newest reviews are one-star. Kevin Dube's Methuen company — six employees on its BBB file, started in 1995 and incorporated in 2001 — works the full yard year: mowing and seasonal cleanups, landscape installs and irrigation, paver patios and retaining walls, plus commercial snow and ice management across the Merrimack Valley and into southern New Hampshire. The long history reads well. Older reviews come from people who kept hiring them — homeowners and commercial accounts describing multi-year maintenance and snow contracts, hardscape builds and full lawn overhauls, usually naming Kevin and his crews directly. Google's average is 3.8 across 19 ratings, and it's the newest reviews pulling it down: both reviews in the last six months are one-star. One, from July 2026, says the crew left a mess and dumped material on the reviewer's property and hadn't come back to collect it. The other, from May 2026, is a general contractor's account of hiring David Dube for a five-day job — nothing half-done at ten days, a hit pipe, an $850 advance and more than $1,000 of tools he says were taken, and the site left unfinished. That is a serious allegation, and worth reading alongside the fact that BBB names Kevin Dube as the owner, so whether that account concerns the company's principal isn't clear from the listing itself. Complaints about communication turn up more than once too. For a scheduled maintenance or snow contract — the work its long-term clients describe — Dube has the crews and the history for it. For a one-off hardscape build, press on specifics: who will actually run the crew, what the schedule commits to, where spoil and debris go, and keep the deposit tied to a written scope. Its A+ BBB grade and Methuen Chamber membership are on file; neither substitutes for calling two recent hardscape customers before you sign.

Left my property a mess if I could leave less than a star, I would. Dumped illegally on my property and still hasn’t returned to collect Their mess.

I hired David Dube to do work for me (I’m a GC) and he had nothing even half done 10 days in on a 5-day job - he hit a pipe and got overwhelmed, stole the $850 advance I gave him, stole $1k+ worth of tools, (from me AND the client), left everything unfinished on site - blocked my number, his mom came to the job site and yelled at my client, etc. Completely dishonest and a thief - do not use.

They did a great job with our job (replacing our front steps and walkway).

Very disappointed with the service. Owner seems quite nice, but the lack of communication and overall service is lacking for what you pay for. Our neighbors suggested another company and we are going with them instead.

Dube has done a fantastic job maintaining our lawns, and snow removal for our 42 lot subdivision, for the past 3 years... He is very attentive to any issues that come up and his staff is courteous and attentive to our needs. We are so happy with their service, we just renewed our 3 year contract with this company.. 5 stars is not enough !
