Seven of Dube Property Maintenance's eight five-star reviews arrived inside one 26-day stretch in late 2023. Both reviews posted in 2026 are one star. That split is the first thing to understand about this Methuen outfit, which handles landscaping, hardscaping and masonry, irrigation, and commercial snow and ice work across the Merrimack Valley and into southern New Hampshire. The Better Business Bureau lists Dube Property Maintenance, Inc. with an A+ grade, six employees and Kevin Dube as owner, the business started in 1995 and incorporated in 2001; the company's own site claims over 25 years. The late-2023 reviews describe the work it is built for — the manager of a 42-lot subdivision renewing a three-year lawn and snow-removal contract, a full lawn overhaul with new plantings and an irrigation system, a back yard rebuilt with repaired retaining walls and a new front walkway. A general contractor writing that November said Dube gives a complete bid and a realistic schedule and can move several crews onto a bigger job. A homeowner in July 2025 credited them with replacing front steps and a walkway. The complaints are the recent ones, and they are specific. In July 2026 a property owner wrote that material was dumped illegally on their land and still had not been collected. A general contractor in May 2026 described hiring a "David Dube" who, they say, was not half done ten days into a five-day job, kept an $850 advance and took more than $1,000 in tools — an account worth weighing against the BBB listing, which names Kevin Dube as owner, since every positive review that names anyone names Kevin. Earlier, a July 2025 customer called the owner personable but said communication and service fell short of what they paid, and went with a company their neighbors suggested; a 2023 reviewer complained about leaf and debris piles blocking an apartment complex entrance. Google's average sits at 3.8 across 19 ratings. For recurring grounds care or a commercial plowing contract, the multi-year accounts are the strongest thing here. For a one-off hardscape build, ask who will actually run the job, get the schedule and payment milestones in writing before any deposit, and confirm who hauls the debris away.
Left my property a mess if I could leave less than a star, I would. Dumped illegally on my property and still hasn’t returned to collect Their mess.
I hired David Dube to do work for me (I’m a GC) and he had nothing even half done 10 days in on a 5-day job - he hit a pipe and got overwhelmed, stole the $850 advance I gave him, stole $1k+ worth of tools, (from me AND the client), left everything unfinished on site - blocked my number, his mom came to the job site and yelled at my client, etc. Completely dishonest and a thief - do not use.
They did a great job with our job (replacing our front steps and walkway).
Very disappointed with the service. Owner seems quite nice, but the lack of communication and overall service is lacking for what you pay for. Our neighbors suggested another company and we are going with them instead.
Dube has done a fantastic job maintaining our lawns, and snow removal for our 42 lot subdivision, for the past 3 years... He is very attentive to any issues that come up and his staff is courteous and attentive to our needs. We are so happy with their service, we just renewed our 3 year contract with this company.. 5 stars is not enough !
