Had a rough experience with another chimney place last month so I was skeptical. Totally different story with Stonepoint Chimney Sweep Repairs. Got the chimney waterproofing done and they were totally reliable and they called back right away. They didnt try to upsell me on stuff I didn't need. Totally fair pricing.
Great service with pellet stove and chimney repair
I cannot say enough good things about this team. They went out of their way to make sure I didn't end up spending money on things I needed. I originally believe my pellet stove needed repairs. The owner walked me through what a deep cleaning would entail and could probably solve the problems. This would end up saving me 100s of dollars Then the work. They came out and made my pellet stove look brand new and cleaned our chimney as well. They laid out tarps and ensured there was not even a speck of ash anywhere in the room. They even reinforced the insert backing to make my stove more stable. They also were significantly cheaper than anyone else that quoted me as the others were all willing to just replace parts without even looking through my stove.. 10/10 would recommend
Did not listen to my goals or opinions. Very pushy with inserting a pellet stove despite my continued insistence that I did not want one. Showed up smelling like marijuana. Charged me for services not provided. Talked very poorly of other local companies who do the same work, tried to tell me they lied and made up reasons I needed my chimney repaired just to make money then climbed on my roof and came to the same conclusion. Don’t get me started on the delusional and inappropriately personal oversharing… 0/10 don’t recommend.
They installed a stainless steel chimney cap on a prefab chimney at my property a few years ago. I have now veen told that it is not only too short for proper drafting but that they cut the stack on my prefab fireplace which is a code violation and also prohibited by the manufactuers. My chimney would now fail any inspection. I would definitely avoid this company.
