E. L. Harvey is a waste management and recycling company that says it has provided those services for more than a century. Its website lists a service area that includes Fitchburg, Athol, Worcester, Lowell and Boston. A recent customer said Harvey charges $13 for a trash bin left slightly open at the top, and warned of extra fees on top of an already expensive subscription. A 2024 customer said their driveway was skipped while every other one was done, that trash was left on the ground, and that they were canceling. A 2024 customer who had canceled said a refund still had not arrived after more than a month, and was told a system change could take even more weeks. A 2025 customer said Mike Cardello was helpful with their shred day.
After moving to a location where I'm no longer able to be serviced by Gelinas it is so sad. Gelinas is 200x better service, for much cheaper, and they don't tack on a bunch of random fees every quarter. With harvey you will pay $13 for having your trash bin slightly open at the top, and I mean to the tiniest crack. This company is severely overcharging for their services and is extremely dictatorial with their rules. If you are forced to use them as well, good luck. Just be prepared to dispute when they try charging you on extra fees every month, on top of their already expensive subscription. 2 stars out of 5. Gelinas is 5/5

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Worst company. We literally were skipped on purpose as they did everyone else's driveway. They also leave trash on the ground and they forgot us often. We are canceling as of January 1st. Do not go with this company- big red flags! Go with a local company they are cheaper and better!!
Horrible. Cancelled a month ago… and still haven’t received my refund 🙄 called today telling them it’s been over a month and haven’t received the refund and they said they are undergoing some system change and could take even more weeks ridiculous.
