In June 2026 a homeowner called Eastern Drains at 6:45 am with a major drain and flooding problem, and the technician, Steve, arrived by 8:00, found the problem with a specialized camera and talked through the options. A July 2026 reviewer wrote that Steve stopped in within a couple of hours of the call and cleaned out an old clogged drain in under a couple of hours, then cleaned up. Eastern Drains is based in Ellsworth, Maine, lists towns from Bar Harbor and Calais to Augusta and Auburn, and advertises 24/7 emergency service. In a January 2025 review, a customer with a septic backup wrote that Vern called to say he would arrive by 8, came early, and had things back to normal within 45 minutes in below-freezing temperatures. Another January 2025 customer, whose septic had backed up into the basement, said the company came the morning after the call and that Vern gave useful advice. In an April 2025 review, a customer with a drain emergency got same-day service and wrote that the technician fixed the problem and cleaned and disinfected the area, and the same customer later added that Vernon came out for another issue and fixed it quickly. A December 2024 reviewer called on a Friday and had Vern there on Saturday.
Steve stopped in within a couple hours of my call, discussed workspace needs, and got right to work. Less than a couple of hours work to clean out an old clogged drain + cleanup after. Great work, responsive company.
What a wonderful company to have service our home! We called at 6:45 am with a major drain l/flooding problem. The technician, Steve arrived by 8:00. He problem solved our issues with his specialized camera and discussed our options. Pricing was very fair. I would highly recommend them for any problems with drains etc.
Vern was awesome, very professional and got it done , will definitely use them again!
Had a drain emergency. Eastern gave us same day service, fixed the problem, and cleaned/disinfected the area. Knowledgeable & friendly technician. Definitely recommend. Take cash, check, or card. 4/2025 Update: Vernon came out for an issue, quickly fixed and explained. Eastern is my first and only call for a drain issue. They are amazing and responsive!
Had a major backup issue in our septic system. Called Eastern and they said they would send someone out next day ++! Vern called, said he would be here by 8 and was actually early +++ Very professional and thorough. In below freezing temperatures.. took care of a real crappy situation within 45 minutes and had us back to normal again. Even made friends with our dog..no small feat.. Highly recommend Eastern Drain, and especially Vern...won't hesitate to call them again, if needed. A million thanks!!!
