Elite Garage Door Repair fixes garage doors out of Brunswick. On its website the company says it writes up a fixed price before any work starts. A recent Google customer says the worker quoted $400 for a small job on springs, a thin cable and a pulley, then charged $1,100 after about an hour and a half — "Almost 3X the original quoted price" — and gave no invoice. A customer who paid $2,257 for two springs says the door would not close as the worker was leaving; after he came back to fix that, the door would not stay open. When that customer called, the company said it had no record of doing business with them. A 2026 customer said Mike was knowledgeable and quick and the value was reasonable. A 2026 customer said Oscar came right away. A 2026 customer said Patrick did a track repair and was on time.
Where do I begin? I paid $2,257 for two springs. The dude who pressured me into paying this amount completely misled me. As he was pulling out of the driveway, I flagged him down to come back because the rollers were in the wrong tracks and the door wouldn’t close. He “fixed” that but now the door won’t stay open. When I called about this, they said they had no record of doing business with me. Shame on you, Elite Garage Door, with your fake address in Brunswick and your unskilled technicians. I will tell everyone I know how awful you are.
Guy showed up, quoting $400. Job was relatively small, involving pieces you can easily hold in yr hand- springs, thin cable, pulley etc. Part way through the 1.5 hour job- 1 guy, NO big heavy parts or replacement of major stuff like door panel etc, he says he's adding on an extra safety cable and maybe one other small part. Upon finishing- around an hour and a half after arriving and starting work- he charges $1,100. Almost 3X the original quoted price. With no actual parts or labor or anything to even begin to justify an incredibly extreme increase in charge. We try to protest- that is too high. He insists that's the price. No invoice given. This is beyond simple overcharging. This is essentially theft.
I was quite pleased with Mike from Elite Garage Door Repair; he was really knowledgeable, surprisingly quick, and the value was reasonable. ----------------------
