EnviroVantage works out of 629 Calef Hwy in Epping, New Hampshire, and describes itself as a demolition, environmental remediation and indoor-air-quality contractor with offices in Haverhill MA, Westbrook ME and Edgewood MD. On its own account it has been at this since 1985, founded by Scott Knightly, who still leads it, and it self-performs asbestos abatement, lead and heavy-metals removal, PCB and PFAS work, mold remediation, structural takedown and select demolition, and duct cleaning. The Better Business Bureau grades it A+ without accrediting it, and lists an EPA licence number on file. Most of its work is commercial and institutional, and the homeowner-facing record is thin: seven reviews in total, spread from 2021 to 2026 across five sources. A 2026 reviewer who hired the company for mold remediation said the price was one of the lower quotes received and the work was impeccable, and felt confident all the mold was gone. Another 2026 line, from someone describing the company as a prime or subcontractor, calls it trustworthy and experienced on environmental abatement and demolition. New Hampshire trade press has reported an industry excellence award for the firm's project work. The complaints are about the same service the praise is about, and they are detailed. A December 2025 reviewer wrote that the initial evaluation seemed competent but the crews sent to do the remediation lacked experience, were not punctual or professional, and failed at basic mold safety practices including proper containment — and that the mold problem was still there afterwards. A separate Better Business Bureau reviewer says the same thing in one line: the mold issue was never resolved. An October 2025 reviewer describes a quote that took weeks to come back, a job booked months out, only two of five quoted items done on the day, an invoice sent as though the job were complete, and repeated emails before a technician was sent back to finish. Two of the three published licence claims are the company's own — the NH lead inspector and contractor licence C001 it says it earned in 1989, and "40+ state and territory licenses" — and neither has been checked against a registry here. New Hampshire does not register general or home-improvement contractors, so there is no statewide registration to look for; the abatement licences it names are the ones worth asking to see. For a homeowner, the right approach is to treat the scope and the follow-through as the thing to pin down: get the quoted items itemised, ask who will actually be on site and what containment they will use, and agree in writing what happens if post-remediation testing still finds mold.
