ERI Building & Design LLC

"We moved in on the day they said we would." That line, from a March 2023 Google review of a house gutted to the studs, is the kind of thing customers write about ERI Building & Design: eight of its eighteen reviews say a project finished on time or within its timeline. The Darien design-build firm says on Houzz it has worked with homeowners for over 30 years, and lists custom homes, remodels and additions. Several customers describe coming back for years. A February 2025 Google reviewer said they have used ERI for over 30 years; a 2021 Houzz reviewer has used it for every house project since 2004, from an addition matching the molding of an antique colonial to a 2021 master and guest bath remodel; another 2021 reviewer counted two major projects in 25 years plus countless smaller ones. Kent is named in six reviews and Mike in three; a February 2023 reviewer also thanked project manager Chris. The jobs described are wide. A June 2023 Houzz review covers a sunroom and upstairs office addition, a bathroom tub-to-shower swap with tile matched to the existing work, and a new A/C. A February 2023 Google review describes a bathroom remodel and new siding, with materials ordered and delivered before work began and the site left clean each day. A February 2023 Houzz reviewer had the kitchen and family room enlarged and said ERI was transparent about price adjustments caused by supply chain issues. In a December 2025 Google review, a customer who had spent years on a problem with their home said Kent quickly diagnosed and solved it. A December 2025 Houzz reviewer said the team kept to the project end date "to the exact day" and flagged non-budgeted items for approval. The Connecticut home improvement registration HIC.0566398, held under E R I Building and Design LLC, is active on the state registry. Its BBB grade is A+. Google shows 4.8 stars from 22 ratings, and Houzz 5.0 from 25.
