Factotum came over in a pinch and switched out a broken exterior door. Repaired my gutters and put a fence up. Brett worked with me on the cost and the quality is top notch.

In response to his reply : Brett, your response doesn’t change the facts of what happened. You stopped working in early March and left the project incomplete, despite being paid. Multiple attempts to reach you went unanswered, and I was forced to send a formal notice just to get a reply. You left your personal belongings on my property without permission, and most concerning, you held onto my credit card after using it to purchase materials, not returning it until late June. As for communication — I work third shift, which is why I chose texting. That was the most reliable way for me to stay in contact, and you were fully aware of that. Ignoring messages and then blaming “lack of communication” on me is not accurate. This isn’t about the cost of labor or whether deposits are fair — it’s about professionalism, accountability, and following through on commitments. I hired you in good faith to complete the work, and you did not. For anyone reading this review, I stand by my experience: hire someone else if you want a contractor who respects agreements, communicates clearly, and completes the job they are paid to do. I have the text and voicemail receipts.

I called and Brett scheduled me right away. He's reliable and detail-oriented. He did the job promptly and purchased everything that was needed so I didn't need to think about it. I'm going to have him do some remodeling next. It's great to have someone who is reliable and really cares about what they do. I highly recommend!

Brett's attention to detail far surpasses any other professional handyman I have ever worked with. I would recommend Factotum to anyone looking to get the job done right... the first time. He also happens to be an amazing mountain biking instructor!
