Family Kitchens

Family Kitchens has run out of the same Humphrey Street showroom in Swampscott since 1968, by its own account — the company describes itself as a family-owned kitchen, bath, and custom cabinetry design business now in its sixth decade. It carries the Wood-Mode cabinetry line and points to a Houzz 'Best of Service' recognition on its own site, though neither is confirmed by anything beyond the company's own pages. The outside numbers are thin and don't fully agree with each other. Google puts it at 3.7 stars from three ratings, Birdeye and Mass Home Comfort echo that same 3.7, and EcoHome shows 5.0 — but each of those rests on only two or three reviews. The one review with visible text is unambiguously negative, which pulls the overall read toward caution rather than confidence. There isn't enough here to lean on the review trail alone. Anyone considering Family Kitchens should ask to see recent completed projects and get a direct reference before committing — the decades in the same Swampscott location and the Wood-Mode line are the more concrete things to point to right now; the online reviews aren't deep enough yet to tell the full story.
