Very happy for help scheduling an appointment. Look forward to working with FM
Had FM Generator out for routine service and a battery replacement. The unit was working perfectly beforehand. Immediately after their visit, the generator failed on the next exercise cycle with an undervoltage fault — right before a 24” snowstorm. It then took about two weeks for them to return and diagnose the issue. Given the impending storm, I was surprised there wasn’t a faster response. The actual problem turned out to be a loose/mis-pinned connector, not normal wear and tear and not a failed component. Early on, I was told it could be a capacitor or even the controller — both expensive repairs — but the fix ended up being a simple connection issue. They did ultimately fix it under warranty, but being without a working generator for two weeks during severe weather, along with the initial misdiagnosis, made for a frustrating experience.
