Edward Flagg Electrical is a family-owned electrical company in Canton, run by master electrician Ed Flagg since 1998, serving a wide swath of towns south and west of Boston — Canton, Milton, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, Stoughton, Foxborough and others. Recent reviews describe him handling everything from routine safety work to older-house rewiring. In an August 2026 review, he replaced a full set of aging smoke detectors in one visit and explained what was wrong with the old ones. In a July 2026 review, a condo owner said Ed responded and fixed a partial power outage after a bigger electrical company quoted a week's wait. An April 2026 review described removing knob-and-tube wiring from an 1890 home's attic ahead of MassSave insulation work, with the reviewer noting Ed's quote came in lower than two competing bids. Other 2026 reviews describe ceiling fan and outlet installs, reattaching a torn-loose weatherhead, and safely disconnecting exterior lighting ahead of a roof replacement. His Massachusetts master electrician license is active on the state registry, and he's a certified Generac installer for standby generators. For a service call, a generator install, or rewiring in an older home, this is worth having on speed dial across a wide stretch of towns south of Boston — his crew's experience with tricky older-house wiring, like the knob-and-tube removal above, is worth mentioning up front if that's your job.
Ed was great. He communicated efficiently, was on time, explained thoroughly what was going on with my old smoke detectors and replaced them all in one visit.
I found Edward Flagg quite by chance a couple of months ago when I had a problem with what I thought was a blown fuse that impacted 1/3 of my condo, including my kitchen. The big electrical company I've used in the past said they could definitely fix it...in a week or so. I contacted Edward Flagg and they were there within hours and the problem was fixed. I've since used them to do some additional work in my place--changing outlets, hanging a new light, repairing a vent. They're prompt, very easy to deal with, and reasonably priced. I would recommend them to anyone looking to hire an electrician.
Quick response and the work met my expectations. Will call them for any future work. (Service: The weatherhead was reattached to the house.)
Ed Flagg showed up on time per his appointment time. Very professional and .he was very thorough. Ed Flagg repaired and fixed my issue. I highly recommend Ed Flagg Electrical.
Rare these days to call someone and get a response from a real human. Ed was friendly, fast and did a great job. Highly recommend
