Footprints Floors of Central Mass

An old barn floor was kept rather than covered over: in a November 2025 Google review, a Footprints Floors of Central Mass customer said Sean researched a solution that preserved its original character. The customer then hired the team again to replace another floor with locally milled wide pine. The business is based in Northborough, and customers identify Sean as the owner. Its BBB listing advertises hardwood installation and refinishing, tile, laminate and vinyl. An August 2026 Google customer who had used Footprints for multiple projects praised reasonable pricing, the results and Sean's communication. Another customer, writing that month about kitchen floors, said Sean and the crew finished on schedule before company arrived and tidied up after the work. Google lists a 4.8-star average from 56 ratings. Older customers described several kinds of flooring work. In November 2024, one homeowner reported carpet removal, new hardwood installation, and refinishing and staining an existing hardwood floor with water stains. Another November 2024 customer described a porcelain tile floor with a requested picture-frame-style landing at the bottom of a staircase. A customer writing in April 2024 said Sean explained product types, installation and maintenance before the team removed carpet and vinyl plank flooring and installed hardwood. Follow-up work has also been part of customers' experiences. In a November 2024 review about a kitchen vinyl plank installation, a homeowner said a moulding issue appeared four or five days later. Sean came the day after the homeowner called, bought materials and spent about two hours repairing it. A July 2025 customer described nearly 800 square feet of red oak refinishing completed in two days, but said chips, nail holes and tack-board holes had not been filled and sanded. Sean visited the next day after being notified, documented the imperfections and scheduled workers for touch-up. The customer wished the job had been right the first time but was happy with the eventual result. There have been complaints about service and follow-through. A September 2024 Thumbtack reviewer said a worker prepared an itemized quote but never sent it. An April 2024 Google reviewer said a promised meeting did not happen, and an August 2025 Google reviewer criticized the installers and service. BBB gives the business an A+ grade and lists it as accredited.
