After two stockade fences, a recent Google customer chose vinyl and said Costa at Fortress Fence Company offered the best price of the three quotes they gathered; the install crew was there for a day. The company's website says its management has 30 years of experience in the fence industry and lists a service area that includes West Hartford, Glastonbury, Simsbury, Manchester and Windsor. Fortress holds 5 stars from 54 ratings on Google. A recent customer said Costa helped them decide what to do with the fence, and that it was installed in one day. Another recent job paired aluminum ornamental fence with black chain link fence; that customer credited Soula and Popi with the quality of the work. A recent customer praised the quality of the fence and the gates and said everything was cleaned up every day. A 2026 customer said lead installer Soula paid close attention to how the fence and gates would work with their dog, and that the install took less than a week. That 2026 customer also said Costa was honest that his vendor pricing on post cap lighting was unreasonable and recommended Amazon instead, then took back the original post caps and issued a credit without being asked. A 2025 customer said Soula and Poppy installed 80 feet of privacy PVC fence. A 2025 customer with a hilly yard and a lot of shrubs said the foreman, Sony, found creative solutions for areas that needed custom work, and that Jay loaned them a temporary fence over the winter so the dogs had an area to run. A 2025 customer who had a split rail fence installed described Costa as the owner. A 2025 customer said the install crew finished the project a day early. In 2024, a customer wrote that Jay came out the same Friday they called and helped them choose a three rail wood fence for their garden. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0671859, as active, held by Fortress Fence Company.
I have 35 years of experience as a fence owner. After two stockade fences, I decided to go with vinyl. I did my homework, my due diligence and sought out fence installers. I wanted three quotes which I received. All three installers were offering the same product, however, Costa, at Fortress Fence Company offered me the best price along with the confidence of knowing that if I chose Fortress to install, it would be done promptly, done well, and would also look great. The install crew were here for a day, worked smartly, kept in constant contact with me, offered some suggestions as regards certain details and all three criteria were met. I am now giving mini tours of my fenced in property, which has resulted in very positive feedback from neighbors, friends, and family. Thanks, Costa & crew. I would not hesitate for one moment in recommending Fortress Fence Company. Excellent price, materials, and workmanship.
Excellent service, communication, and product. We would highly recommend Fortress Fence to anyone.
Fair price. Beautiful job. Great workers! Highly recommend!
Fortress fence did a superior job installing our fence. The quality of the fence and the gates are exceptional! Costa was easy to work with and so were the men installing. Everything was cleaned up every day. Highly recommend.
We recently had our fence installed by Fortress Fence and couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From start to finish, the company was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. A special thank you to the two installers. They were punctual, hardworking, courteous, and paid close attention to every detail. Their craftsmanship was outstanding, and they left the property neat and clean when the job was finished. The fence looks amazing and has exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a reliable fence company that takes pride in its work, I highly recommend them. Five stars all the way!
