Highlights
- Permit trail — seven permitted projects across five Massachusetts towns
- Mid-size capability — one 2023 job valued at $66,300
- License history — BuildZoom shows the same number once cancelled
- Unverified license — the number comes from a directory, not the state
- Thin customer history — one review, from 2014, single source
Frank G Romano Construction leaves a permit trail rather than a review file: seven permitted projects on the books, and exactly one customer review — a 5-star rating from 2014. Those permits sketch a small residential remodeler based in Wilmington and working across town lines — Belmont, Tewksbury, Boston, Brookline and Haverhill — mostly modest jobs, with one 2023 project valued at $66,300. BuildZoom scores the company 91. Licensing is where to slow down. BuildZoom lists a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor license, CS-104085, and calls it active as of June 2026 — but the same page carries an older entry for that identical number showing it was at one point cancelled. That is the directory's account, not a state confirmation, so ask for the license number and check its current standing with the Massachusetts licensing board yourself before anything is signed. With one review, from 2014, and nothing since, there is no way to say how this company runs today — how it schedules, communicates, or handles a change order mid-job. Worth a call for a small remodel if you can get phone numbers for recent customers and walk a finished job; not a business you can research from the outside.

Mr. Romano was all that my good and very particular friend said he was, and much more. He did work in my condo and he proved to be very punctual and flexible with scheduling times that worked for me. I rated very good the work handled directly by him but his helpers were not as detail oriented as he. I ran into this site as I was searching for his information as I am considering some additional work.
