Two trees down, an accurate estimate of the job time, and the yard cleaned up afterward: that is how a recent Google customer described a visit from Gentile Tree Care. The company says it serves Fairfield and Litchfield Counties and that owner Sam Gentile has worked in the industry for over 20 years. A recent customer said Sam and the crew removed a giant spruce tree with no damage done to the property. A recent customer said they first hired the company in 2020 to bring down two trees and trim another near an outbuilding, used it again for a partial tree felling, and most recently had it grind up a few stumps. A 2026 customer said it was the third time in eight years that Sam and his crew had worked at the house, removing a tree leaning near electrical lines along the driveway and a large hemlock right next to the house. That 2026 customer said they also mulched and cleared fallen limbs that were not part of the quoted work. A 2026 customer said the crew took down two maples touching the roof and left the logs to cut for a wood stove. A 2025 customer said a cherry picker was needed to take down a half-dead 150-year-old silver maple, and that Gentile was well equipped to do the job. A 2023 customer said Samuel Gentile and his team cut branches of tall trees hanging over the house and charged a reasonable fee. A 2024 customer gave one star, saying they had been cleaning up the mess left behind for a week and that a tree was damaged; that 2024 customer said the owner told them not to worry about it. Gentile Tree Care started on time and estimated job time was accurate. The crew was efficient and removed two trees. They cleaned up the yard afterwards. We are very happy with their professionalism and service.
If anyone is looking for a tree service company I highly recommend Gentile Tree Care. Sam was very knowledgeable and the service and crew did an excellent job. Of all companies providing quotes his was the best. They removed a giant spruce tree in no time, clean up and no damage done to the property. Punctual and arrived when scheduled, I highly recommend.
