I would strongly recommend Oak Hill to anyone with a tree removal issue. I had a full-grown sugar maple come down and land against the roof of my garage. It didn’t fall all the way because the very top was being held up by another tree. Oak Hill came out shortly after I called to assess the situation. Their price was competitive with the three other services I contacted, and they showed up not long after we agreed to the job. This was not an easy removal. The top of the tree had to be secured, cut off, and lifted away before the bottom half, which was leaning against the garage, could be removed. The property is heavily wooded, so everything had to be done among other trees and some low power lines. They were extremely professional, and communication before, during, and after the job was excellent. The owner himself operated the crane. As someone who values maintenance, I also appreciated seeing the crew member who was going to be hoisted up to do the cutting sharpening his chainsaw beforehand. It was a small detail, but one that gave me confidence in how they approached the work. They also cut the logs to my specifications so I could split them for firewood. This was my first experience with Oak Hill. I hope I don’t have any more fallen trees, but if I do, I would not use anyone else.

I had 2 old and large trees pruned and cabled. Oak Hill Tree Service did an excellent job and I am pleased with the results. The crew arrived on time, performed the job exactly as I had requested was careful not to damage my lawn and cleaned up everything when the job was completed. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to have tree work done. They are top notch.

Oak Hill did an absolutely phenomenal job taking down multiple trees for us, some of which were quite large and very close to the house. Jake was personable, responsive, and professional throughout the whole process, and he and his crew were extremely neat and thorough when completing the work. They went above and beyond to make our yard beautiful, even disposing of the remains of an older fallen tree that my husband had been meaning to take care of himself :) We are so happy with how our yard was transformed and will certainly use Oak Hill again in the future!

Jake and his crew at Oak Hill Tree Service are truly amazing. They removed 16+ dead and/or heavily leaning trees from over and around our house/electrical lines, out of extremely hard to reach places, and on a property with incredibly limited access. I called Oak Hill Tree Service on a recommendation and Jake was at our house within a day. He is patient, knowledgeable, and experienced. Jake takes the time to hear out his clients and their concerns, and to share his knowledge and expertise. He even came out a second time to measure, assess, and create a game plan to tackle this challenge. As he said “there’s always a way to do it, we just have to figure out the best way”. Jake got us on his schedule within 2 weeks and he and his crew finished the job in two days. To avoid driving over our septic and to work around steep slopes and rock walls, they cleared out a bed of overgrown brush and built a custom temporary platform to balance his crane. Jake shared with me pictures and videos so that I could show my kids his crane lifting massive logs, a skid steer, and even an entire tree up and over our house. The crew is highly efficient, friendly, and works cleanly and safely. On top of their incredible skill, their pricing was very fair and honest for the massive amount of work they did. Jake was able to think outside of the box and find clever solutions for this challenging job. Our yard has undergone an amazing transformation, and I am glad to be rid of a bunch of hazardous trees. I highly recommend Oak Hill Tree Service and will continue to turn to them for anything tree related.

This is long overdue, but Jake and his crew are amazing to work with and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of tree work. We first worked with Jake for emergency service when a very large tree came down in our yard and got hung-up on another tree. He and his crew handled the situation with expert skill and finesse, including some very creative rigging solutions to make sure the whole procedure was done safely and with minimal damage to the yard. We had Jake and his team back a second time to do some planned tree work which went off without a hitch. We couldn't have been happier with the outcome. His pricing is very reasonable, especially considering the quality of work he delivers and the way he always goes above and beyond to make sure his clients are happy. Plus he's just really friendly and a true pleasure to work with. Again, I can't recommend Oak Hill Tree Service highly enough!
