Geo Brothers Fence Co is a two-person, family-run fence company working out of Beverly, Massachusetts, owned by Robert Georgenes and trading since 1 January 1996. It builds and repairs wood, vinyl, chain link and ornamental iron fences and gates across the North Shore, and BBB grades it A+ — while also stating plainly that it is not a BBB Accredited Business. The customer record is unusually consistent. Angi shows 5.0 from 83 reviews, 99% of them five-star with a single four-star and nothing lower, and the written accounts run from 2016 to 2024 across three platforms. Importantly, this is not the shape of a manufactured set: the reviews vary from a single line to several paragraphs, name the same people year after year — Rob and Claudia who run the business, and crew members Alfredo, Ryan and Jay — quote real job values from $400 to $5,700, and include both a surviving four-star and a flat 'It was okay.' What customers describe repeatedly is a small outfit that does the awkward jobs. In a July 2018 review a homeowner with two rotted stockade posts said other fence companies only wanted full installations, while Geo Brothers took on the repair and worked out a botched original installation. In an October 2020 review a customer recounted another company refusing the job outright before Geo Brothers took it. A December 2017 reviewer described a crew hand-building 6 of 15 panels to hold a straight line up a steep hill, working two days in near-zero December weather with lights after sunset, and locating the neighbour's property pin. Estimating and cleanup come up as often as the fencing itself: several reviewers between 2017 and 2024 mention same-day or next-day estimates, work finished ahead of the promised date, and both sides of the fence left clean. A January 2018 customer with a pool noted the fence was checked against code and an old gate refurbished instead of replaced to save money. The honest caveats are about timing and recency rather than workmanship. A 2017 reviewer said the job ran longer than expected, another had a gate problem the owner then came back and fixed, and several accounts mention waiting a few weeks for availability. More significantly, the newest written account on file is from July 2024, so nothing here speaks to the last year of operation. No state licence record reached this profile. Massachusetts exempts fencing-only work from home improvement contractor registration under MGL c.142A §14, so that absence is not a fault — but this company also lists commercial and industrial fencing, so ask what registration applies to your job. For a residential fence, gate or repair anywhere from Beverly and Salem out to Marblehead, Swampscott, Nahant and Gloucester, the depth and consistency of the record here is about as good as a two-person shop gets. Ask for a recent reference given the gap since 2024.

I was able to get a quote very quickly on installing a wood fence. They made helpful suggestions to make sure we got what we wanted and were even able to incorporate a gate we already had. Communication was excellent, and they were able to get the job done sooner than proposed to accommodate our schedule and timeline. The work was done in a day, and they were very mindful of our neighbor's property as well as ours, leaving the work area spotless. We are so happy with the finished product!

Rob and his crew did a great job with replace the stockade fence along side my driveway. He also removed all the shrubs in order to install the fence. My driveway is now larger and I'm able to move snow much easier! Thank you Rob!

Each person I talked to was professional and helpful and knowledgable. This includes Rob, Claudia and the two men who came out to do the work. Time will tell whether their promise of another 10-20 years with this fence holds true, but they have given be every reason to trust them and to enjoy working with them. I will most definitely seek them out if I need other fence work and I would recommend the company to anyone. I think this was a hard job, too. I had another fence company come out prior to Geo Bros and was told, "I won't touch that crap" (the previous owners did a real poor job on the fence a couple years ago), but Rob from Geo Bros didn't shy away from the hard work. It was really refreshing to have so many positive exchanges with each employee I encountered. The men who did the job explained to me what they were doing and didn't mind at all that my 15 month old was fascinated by them working out back! (Job cost stated as $1,000)
